[LLVMdev] GC infrastructure checked in
Everything described in GarbageCollection.html should now be live. Phew! The collectors could use a review, but they compile, have no impact unless used, and tests would otherwise have had to be XFAILed waiting on them. The ShadowStackCollector has one issue that may be of interest in that it adds constant globals in a runOnFunction context. This is bad in th...

I had huge trouble to get the samba server started after I ported it onto a CentOS 7 machine. I tried to start it with systemctl start smbd nmbd winbind samba and it failed without error messages. So I has asked a question on the Samba mailing list. They to...

C7 and mdadm - apparently SOLVED
Looking around on the Web, what I just tried was to stop the RAID, then do an --assemble --scan, and *that* found everything, put the raid together, and appears to be rebuilding using the new drive. *phew* I do find it interesting that scan works, but explicitly assembling apparently remembers the drive that died, and wouldn't even look at it. mark

Unfortunately, I don't think that's it. Visual Studio gives me a specific error when it can't find a certain library file. I think these are the errors you get when a

HPLIP vs. CentOS
Hi, Our local school has recently acquired an HP PageWide Pro 477 professional printer. According to HP, the printer requires HPLIP 3.16.3 at least. Unfortunately, CentOS is only shipping HPLIP 3.15.9. So I downloaded and installed the hplip/hplipfull package from the HP site. Installing this thing and getting it to work is not exactly a trivial task, as I documented in my blog:
