Hi, I have run into the following I bonded 6 NICs on my Cent OS server into a 600MB pipe. I use bond method 4 = dynamic Link aggregation. My Cysco Switch supports this apparently. However I only get increased bandwidth from my MAC by connecting via AFP. However when I connect via SMB I don't. I was told to change the sockect options to the following on my smb.conf file on my fileserver:

...m. I can start and run .exe files from the terminal with no problem, but when I try to start them via the KDE file manager nothing happens. If I type the whole path into the "path" portion of the config file, then the program will run. I have literally dozens of paths to all my Windows Pgms, so I don't want to (can't?) put them all into the "paths" line. What do I have to do to get programs to start by double-clicking on the icon? ...are both running NT4.0 with SP 5. I can save the file locally and then copy it to H: without any problems. This user also has the same problems with SigmaPlot 5; works to samba 1 and fails to samba 2 (although the error is "Failed to save document"). Everything else (like the MS Office pgms) works fine. I'd like to move to samba 2 exclusively but this problem is forcing us to keep samba 1. Has anyone experienced this problem? Can anyone suggest a fix or somewhere to look? ...I was in the /usr/local/samba/bin dir and executed smbstatus from there and voila it showed all users, locks etc. A quick inspection showed that the rpm version executables had not been overwritten when I ran make install. We have been using the daemons from 2.2.2 but apparently 2.2.1a utility pgms. (I'll change that too after hours as things have been running well for weeks and I don't know that it could not crash something switching.) Hello, Is it really possible that just the user root with the samba password can join workstations into the domain? I have also some other users who are domain administrator, but with this users i can't join any workstations into the domain.
