preferred directory structure for multiple environments
Hello All, Moving from 2.5 to 2.6.2 and I was wondering if there is a preferred directory structure for using multiple environments? Does it work much different in 2.6 than in 2.5? When I made the move I assumed (I know) that my current structure and configurations would just roll over but that isn''t the case. Thanks, Jim -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the

LDA predictions
I've made an LDA model on some data from one source. I have some new data that I want to see if I can "place" to the sources in the LDA model. I used the predict function as follows: predict(wak.insitu.ld, wak.alr.alluvial) where wak.insitu.ld is an LDA model generated from some data and wak.alr.alluvial is new data of similar origin. When I look at the results, there is 86

Illegal PV kernel pfm/pfn translations on PROT_NONE ioremaps
Hi, On paravirt x86 (both 32- and 64-bit), since cset 13998: http://xenbits.xensource.com/xen-unstable.hg?rev/13998 we translate all ptes from being mfn-based to pfn-based when the hardware _PAGE_PRESENT bit is cleared. We do this for PROT_NONE pages, which appear to the HV to be non-present, but which are special-cased in the kernel to appear present (a different bit in the

Cheap ISDN interface + Asterisk what to choose?
Hi All I've been away from Asterisk for some time. I was wdonering what the development status is on this? We've already got a couple of Siemens ISDN phones on an ISDN line, and I was wondering what the development status was for using them with Asterisk? My hope is that it is possible to attach the Asterisk to the existing S0 bus, so that we can use the handsets both via Asterisk and the

Samba 2.0.7 Install
I am trying to install Samba 2.0.7 on my RedHat 6.2 system. I recently had Samba 2.0.6 on it, but after reading about the upgrade issues, uninstalled it. So unless there is something the RPM missed, it should be uninstalled. I am building Samba 2.0.7 myself with a GCC compiler (2.95.2), which has no problems. However, after I do make install, the system still will not find smbd or nmbd. Are there

Samba 2.0.7, cannot find netbios names
When I try to Ping a server using it's netbios name it reports the following: ping: unknown host 'Tux' (or other netbios name) When I ping it using the IP address, it works fine. I can ping using the netbios name on my 2.0.6 Samba server (on another system). I can't find any relevant messages in the log file as to why this is happening (just requests from other systems to for name

Mongrel Web Server 0.3.11 -- Edge Rails and Win32 Compliant
...#39;'s perfect for little tools like the mongrel_config plugin. If you''re interested in writing a little application and don''t want a full Rails app then try looking at the code to mongrel_config to get an idea. It works great, the only thing is that there''s tons of PFM in Camping that seems to break Rails like crazy. Camping == oil. Rails == water. Don''t mix. == The Dreaded TCP Hack Sean Treadway gave me a bit of hack code which jacks the OS listen queue from the default (usually 5) to a whopping 1024. This makes Mongrel handle concurrency much bet...

New ADS infrastructure with winbind - Which is the best ID-mapping: IDMAP_RID or IDMAP LDAP with ADS + SFU schema ?
A question for the best winbind SID-UID/GID mapping in our situation: I'm building a new infrastructure with Windows 2003SP1 ADS Domaincontrollers and some Debian Servers (File: Samba+NFS; Mail; Web; ....) and varios XP and Debian Clients. After reading Chapter 12. (Identity Mapping) in the Samba-HOWTO is IDMAP_RID in couple with winbind an easy way to solve the problem with syncr.
