Joining a Linux Machine to a Windows 2003 Active Directory Domain
...netos/article.php/3487081>
but when I get to the join command I get this
[root@0-1-3-1d-38-f2 ~]# net ads join -U adjoin
adjoin's password:
Failed to set password for machine account (NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED)
Failed to join domain!
Any help would be most welcome!

Shared hosting for rails
...s part of the core? How
about custom gems? Should we even set up apache at all, or would you
prefer to be hosted on a server with lighttpd? Then, is the
community preference for FCGI or SCGI?
Well, that sort of leaves things wide open. I hope to hear good
feedback.
Thanks again.

domU consoles
Hi
I have a couple of questions:
1. How do I exist from a domU console back to dom0 console (after
issuing xm console [domU])?
2. How do I setup a dom0/domU in order to get a tty login?
TIA
Paolo

Trying to get a command line function to work in rails
...have tried several
things such as:
def dig
@dig = `dig @ns2.emarketsouth.com #{domain.domain_name}`
end
and none of them seem to work. This type of construct does seem to
work in IRB, but I am obviously missing something. Could someone
give me a nudge in the right direction?

RoR data models ( extreme newbie question)
Sorry for asking this but I am keen to get on and build an app based on
RoR and have had a look around at FAQa and the like with no immediate
sucess.
What I am looking for is an explainantion of the rules/requirements for
table/index/coulumn names with RoR. RoR appears to have a set of
expected naming conventions which it would appear you can over ride but
it would seems a hell of a lot

What OS do you use for development?
Just out of curiousity, what OS do most of you use for development? Do
you prefer to use WinXP to do your development, and then deploy to a
linux server, or do you actually use some distribution of linux (Ubuntu,
Debian, Gentoo, etc) for development?
Thanks!
