WINE, PERVASIVE and ODBC
I have a proprietary piece of software written for a windows machine. When I run the ODBC interface so that I can set a DSN the connection works. However, when I run the program it cannot find the files and gives me an error stating that. Does anyone have experience with Pervasive DB's? Or maybe with getting programs like this one running under WINE? [LLVMdev] Using cl::ZeroOrMore more pervasively with the cl::opt class
All, Is there any particular reason we don't use cl::ZeroOrMore more pervasively with the cl::opt class of command-line options? 1. Some of llvm's optimizations are enabled/disabled by llvm command-line options. Passing these options to our build system via CFF and CXXF result in redundant CL options. If the CL option is a cl::opt which defaults to cl::Optional, a warn...

[PATCH] daemon: proto: Remove pervasive but useless debugging messages.
If you spend your time looking at libguestfs debugging output you'll see many messages from the daemon main loop like this: guestfsd: main_loop: new request, len 0x54 guestfsd: main_loop: proc 278 (mkfs) took 0.02 seconds I don't think these messages really bring much value. This commit removes them entirely. An alternative might be to change them to make them shorter and/or less

[LLVMdev] Is LLVM expressive enough to represent asynchronous exceptions?
...ption handling information to basic blocks. See > http://nondot.org/sabre/LLVMNotes/ExceptionHandlingChanges.txt > for a discussion. Is this really a good idea? Why have a control flow graph if it doesn't actually capture control flow? There are lots of compilers for languages with more pervasive exceptions that represent them explicitly, e.g. the Hotspot server compiler for Java or several ML compilers (where integer overflow throws an exception). I can't see many advantages of implicit exceptions besides a nicer looking IR dump. Cameron

There are lots of compilers for languages with more pervasive exceptions that represent them explicitly, e.g. the Hotspot server compiler for Java or several ML compilers (where integer overflow throws an exception). You and Bill seem to be responding to a different question, namely "Is LLVM expressive enough to represent synchronous exceptions from non...

[LLVMdev] Status of blocks runtime in compiler-rt?
...SRCROOT was screwing things up, even when I was in a build subdirectory. Blowing that away has everything humming away properly now. Yep, just got my blocks "hello world!" example to work on FreeBSD 9- current! Success! Now to figure out just where to stick this so it's as pervasively available on FreeBSD as it is on Mac OS X.
