Samba and ProxyArp
...from Server to Server, however It is the identification of the Samba server names that is failing, which of course relies on Broadcast addresses. i.e. the Samba Name Servers synch with each other by sending Broadcasts. There are no dropped packets within the Logs so it is not a Firewall issue persay. In fact the Rules & Policy files have not changed from what was used ( without problems with Samba ) using SNAT. I have a horrible feeling that this is to do with the inability of ProxyArp in handling Broadcast addressing? For completeness :- shorewall version 2.0.14 ip addr show 1: lo:...

Naming Relationship
This is not a technical question persay, but since rails is all about opinions, I figured it was worth asking: Now that CRUD is on people''s minds as a way to design webapps, I''m wondering if anyone has put thought into a naming convention for relationships. Some relationships have good terms, like User -> Subsc...

A question on limiting the number of ssh connections to the ssh server
Hello I would like to know if there is a keyword in sshd_config that can be used to limit the number of simultaneous connections an OpenSSH server will accept. There is a MaxConnections keyword in SSH2 but I have not found a similar keyword for OpenSSH. Thanks in advance for your response Amba Giri Symbol Technologies, San Jose P: 408-528-2721 E:agiri at sj.symbol.com Symbol. The Enterprise

AW: Should I choose DSL @ 1.5 or a full T1?
...Asterisk-Users] Should I choose DSL @ 1.5 or a full T1? Which then presumably leads to higher overselling in the home market since use is presumed lower. Also there are often restriction on the line like no Ips given for servers and no servers allowed. I doubt they really care if we can afford it persay... I think it is just a matter of what pricepoint to what feature set. Should I choose DSL @ 1.5 or a full T1?
I'm looking to expand my bandwidth for my Asterisk PBX. Why should I choose a T1 over DSL for my asterisk server? I found someone offering T1's for $290 a month + Loops or 3 Meg for $561 a month + Loops. Is this a good deal? Thanks Bart -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Fix for USE_POSIX_THREADS in auth-pam.c
As many of you know, OpenSSH 3.7.X, unlike previous versions, makes PAM authentication take place in a separate process or thread (launched from sshpam_init_ctx() in auth-pam.c). By default (if you don't define USE_POSIX_THREADS) the code "fork"s a separate process. Or if you define USE_POSIX_THREADS it will create a new thread (a second one, in addition to the primary thread). The

ADSL channel boding or Load balancing
Hi There, We currently using iproute2 for load balancing. However we need more upload speed as we load balance over 3 dsl lines. I''ve been looking for a way to combine the upload speed to more faster. Found a site called www.upstreaminter.net where these guys bond the adsl channels to improve uploads, Since downloading is problem as its need to know the ip address of the downloader they
