Dovecot passdb and postfix login
Hi,
Long story short I've got a fully functional Dovecot IMAP instance and I am now looking to upgrade some perimiter authenticated SMTP relays to authenticate against the Dovecot instance.
Trouble is that I am seeing errors such as "auth: Warning: sql: Ignoring changed user_query in /etc/dovecot/local_sql_users.conf, because userdb sql not used." in my Postfix server logs and not able to successfully a...

Firewall will definatelyincrease jittersinyourvoice conversation
...me you mean hardware like
PIX and software like BlackIce. I am not sure where a stripped down
Linux version running on a P1 which does firewalling and only
firewalling fits in. I call that type of system a "hardware" firewall
simply because it is a dedicated piece of hardware which does perimiter
control and only perimiter control.
Where VOIP is concerned, use a dedicated firewall system with QoS
capabilities. Period. (Yes it is possible to run such a system on
Windows, but I certainly don't advise it.)

Firewall will definately increase jitters in your voice conversation
Hi,
If you will put firewall, then i think you will get
high latency and consequently you will hear voice
jitter in your conversation. so avoid putting
firewall.

...rewalling functions.
Just add an extra network card, put it on the perimeter of your network,
set up iptables, traffic shaping, uninstall unnecessary software, use
Netstat to doublecheck listening ports, etc. and you have your firewall.
A firewall doesn't have to be expensive but some form of perimiter
control is very helpful in these cases.
Best Wishes,

Granting SSH access to a Ruby on Rails user
I installed Rails and Rubygems on a web server for a customer who wants
to install a Ruby on Rails application that he developped.
He needs SSH access to interact with Ruby, so I''ll have to grant him
access, but I want him to only play around in his /home directory, as
this server also hosts other customers. How could I do that?
Thanks,
