Software RAID: on same IDE port or on different ones?

If using two IDE disks on RAID 1: is there much of a difference performancewise if I put both on one IDE port as master and slave or should I better put them on seperate ports. I remember from olde days that it was recommended to put CD and hard disk on different ports to maximize the throughput between them and as RAID1 is theoretically writing to both disks at the same t...

How do I find the coordinates. I can find the row by doing a subset on the data.frame but how do I find out here "blaw " is in columns without manually counting them or converting names(Df) to a

Non-executable stack
Hi all Does FreeBSD support a non-executable stack on any of the tier 1 and 2 platforms that has this feature? If not, are there any plans of implementing this and is there a patch I can use for 6.0 (when it is released)? Best regards db
