Hello, How can i fine tune dovecot for less then 10 users? or is there no need? Also, is there any smtp client which can be used with it for a open-source standalone server? i want very-small foot print+secure server, qmail and sendmail are dinos, and i felt xmail is trying to do everything. (as we are less then 10 users here.) i liked round-cube for webmail. i would appreciate all suggestions

Hi, We are building a new system that will support a large number of users (high volume, high concurrent usage, etc).? We have played with Dovecot, but in most serious applications we have traditionally used Courier IMAP.? It's my (lay) understanding that with indexing and perhaps other things in Dovecot, it might perform better than Courier in larger environments like this.? Am I correct or

I've been testing Dovecot for a while now and am preparing to replace our outdated IMAP system with it. The current system serves about 300 email users who run a mixture of clients (Eudora, Apple Mail, Thunderbird and Outlook).
