out how to use the Sizer classes is proving quite a
challenge. (The sample programs are a big help, but an
overview would give me a leg up on the learning curve.)

Wx::Notebook tabs, bug reports on...
...XP style
controls and manifest files, I''m noticing that
Wx::Notebook tabs seem to ignore them if they''re
placed anywhere but at the top. In other words, I
get the version 6 style if the tabs are at the top,
and the version 5 style if they''re anywhere else.

Setting background color on a menu bar?
Thank you all for your help with my previous question.
Now I have a question on setting the background color
of a menu bar: can it be done?
I''ve experimented thus:
menuBar = Wx::MenuBar.new()
menuBar.set_background_color( Wx::WHITE )
But alas, it seems to have no effect.
(I''m using wxruby-1.9.0-i386-mswin32 with ruby 1.8.6)
