RE: LOA for CFA . . work up "pencil copy"
David, I guess I'm a little confused here. Are you asking me to provide a "pencil copy" of an LOA for your review? I don't understand why you need an LOA from us. We need an LOA from you to order circuits that will be billed to us that will be attached to your CFA. It was also my understanding that you had an LOA ready to be given to us, which had already been review...

Hiccup on streaming
...midity, temp,etc) and a playing grid. Sorry if I can't describe exactly, english is not my main language. The encoder uses mp3, ogg and aac+, with bitrates from 32 to 320. The problem is that we have some hiccups on the streaming. Example, lets say we listen the phrase: "this is my black pencil" on the streaming we hear:"this...ak pencil" I didn't play much with config, just changed user, password and host The encoder is pointing to localhost and I've tried every combination of mp3,ogg and aac+ with different bitrates. We hear hiccups all the time from internet (it...

how should I go for Xen 4.0.1 with a non pv-ops Dom0 kernel
Hi, I recently compiled a Xen-4.0.1 and pv-ops Dom0 2.6.32.27 kernel from JF''s tree.Where my hypervisor could not boot and unfortunately the system is rebooting so frequently that I am not able to note down the error messages on a paper and pencil.So now I am planning to go for a non pv-ops Dom0.I am not clear as what should be the approach? I have been Googling it every now and then and was not able to understand this process exactly as how it is working.Does it need an older version of Xen with 2.6.18 version kernel or I can use a latest k...

I have the function: p2<-function(x){0.5*(3*x^2-1)} # I found the square of p2 by using some pencil and paper. # The result is inside myfunc below myfunc<- function(x) {0.25*(9*x^4+6*x^2+1)} # Below I made R to find the square of p2 p2sq<-function(x) {p2(x) * p2(x)} # Now I am trying to integrate both two function at the same interval. #Both functions should denote the square of...

Solving Yis[i] = a*cos((2*pi/T)*(times[i] - Tau)) + ...
...: Yis[i] = a*cos((2*pi/T)*(Times[i] - Tau)) + b*sin((2*pi/T)*(Times[i] - Tau)) ... (1) Where T and Tau are constants. I know the "Times" and "Tis" values (in fact these values come from a Time Series), and I need found the values of a and b. I can resolve the eq. (1) using a pencil and paper (expanding this as a linear system of equation), it is not a difficult problem, although I am not able to resolve it using R. I was blown away by how nice the set really is. The box is lined in velvet with gold embossments. The lithographs are of pencil animation, so you get to see all of the animator's original pencil lines. The pin set is adorable. And the book is the real centerpiece of this box set. It gives details about the production, as well as provides information about the legacy the film has had. It is full of rare pictures. The boo...

Covariance calculation gives different answer than Excel (PR#13720)
Full_Name: Amos Waterland Version: 2.8.1 OS: Ubuntu Linux Submission from: (NULL) (68.175.8.163) I calculated the covariance for a small data set as follows: X <- c(1,2,3,4) Y <- c(3,3,4,3) cov(X,Y) [1] 0.1666667 But when doing the computation with pencil and paper I get: ((-1.5)*(-0.25) + (-0.5)*(-0.25) + (0.5)*(0.75) + (1.5)*(-0.25))/4 [1] 0.125 Microsoft Excel 2003 covar() also gives 0.125. I suspect that you guys are doing something like this: ((-1.5)*(-0.25) + (-0.5)*(-0.25) + (0.5)*(0.75) + (1.5)*(-0.25))/3 [1] 0.1666667 That is, you are...

Simple tree
...easy" way to setup a decision tree. This is *not* any kind of regression, but a very simple DAG with probability on each edge and a value at each node. I just need a way to input the graph and calculate the expected value at each end node. The whole thing could be done with a calculator and pencil, but it would be nice to have everything in R. I can't seem to find a package for this. Any suggestions? -- Noah Silverman, M.S. UCLA Department of Statistics 8117 Math Sciences Building Los Angeles, CA 90095 [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
