Hi all, I'm trying to access a Windows NT server share, but I cant' do it... The command I'm trying is : mount -t smbfs //server/share /mnt/transfer/ then I get the password prompt. If I enter or not a password I get this error message: 3543: tree connect failed: ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess (Access denied.) SMB connection failed What should I do ? Thanks for all

Does this list propagate to a news group? If so what group?

For some reason all of my Linux servers all of a sudden can't look up net bios names. Everything has been working great for months. If I do an smbclient -L ipaddress on any of them they all can see the master browser and show its name in the output. But if I try and do an smbclient -L systemname it immediately dumps out to the internet and tries to resolve the name using DNS. This of course

I have 4 Linux servers all running samba. Everything has been working fine until yesterday. With no changes to the network or to the servers samba has quit working right. The problems all relate to samba not being able to look up names against the master browser. When I try to mount using a windows pc name I get this error... [root@fileserver pdk]# mount -t smbfs -o username=pdk,passowrd=XXXXX
