Kerberos/LDAP authentication no more working in 5.6 ?
...is no more
working. I don't know why...
I followed some times ago scott Lowe blog for this setup :
http://blog.scottlowe.org/2007/01/15/linux-ad-integration-version-4/
And it was working correctly until the upgrade. What is curious is that
id command and getent passwd works correctly :
# id pean
uid=9808(pean) gid=5027(ida)
groupes=5027(ida),10(wheel),100(users),5024(info)
# getent passwd |grep pean
pean:*:9808:5027:pean:/home/pean:/bin/bash
'pean' es an AD account. But when I try to autenticate, even locally :
So LDAP is correctly found. It is the password that seems problemat...

Hi,
I have a LSI Logic sata/sas raid running, is there a way to see the
state of
the volume, like optimal, degraded or resyncing?
I've tried several commands with camcontrol but I cant figure it out.

Is this anthing people are working on? Is it on its way to RELENG_7?
Is there a 7-version of the patch or anything? This would be a _VERY_
useful feature.

amdtemp does not find my CPU.
Hi!
Im running FreeBSD 9.1 on a AMD APU machine:
CPU: AMD E-450 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (1699.36-MHz K8-class CPU)
FreeBSD 9.1-RELEASE-p1 #0 r243379M: Fri Mar 8 23:16:44 CET 2013
root at pean.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC
I try to use amdtemp(4) to read the temperature of this CPU but it
doesnt seem to detect the CPU. The manual states that it should support
K8-class.
The amdtemp.c isnt huge so maybe it is very simple to make it work?

Add repo for xfig package
Hi All
We want to install packages like xfig and transfig on centos 5.5. We found rpms available but them but it seems there are lot of dependencies for these packages. So we would like to setup yum repo for this. Can anyone suggest trusted baseurl for yum repo?

40TB File System Recommendations
Hello All
I have a brand spanking new 40TB Hardware Raid6 array to play around
with. I am looking for recommendations for which filesystem to use. I am
trying not to break this up into multiple file systems as we are going
to use it for backups. Other factors is performance and reliability.
CentOS 5.6
array is /dev/sdb
So here is what I have tried so far

Postfix mail server procedure
CentOS Community,
I was wondering if anyone had a good resource or procedure for a step by
step in installing a mail server with Centos. There ARE documents on
google, however almost all that i've found were outdated from 2005. Does
anyone know where I can find this type of document for a mailserver
Postfix + MySQL + SpamAssassin + ClamAV + Squirrelmail + Postfixadmin, etc?

OpenVPN server and firewalld
How do I insert the iptables rule below using firewalld?
I'm moving up from CentOS 6 to 7 on an office gateway and I'm trying to get
OpenVPN working to allow home workers to access PCs at the office. I've got
it all working but only by manually inserting an ACCEPT rule in the FORWARD
iptables chain:
iptables -I FORWARD 3 -i tun+ -j ACCEPT
This rule was extracted from my iptables

Logging of installed packages.
In the light of this: http://www.freebsd.org/news/2012-compromise.html
It would be nice if there was default way to log all package installations from both pkgs and ports.
Is there? If not, what would you recommend for doing this?
Thanks.

Red Hat would stay as a distinct entity inside IBM. IBM has also
contributed to Free software, and especially Linux kernel.
I don't know how bad it is and the implications for CentOS...
