Fwd: Centos 6 AMI does not support c4-8xlarge
...to the c4.8xlarge type, but that is not a permitted option for the "CentOS 6 (x86_64) - with Updates HVM" AMI. Is there any way we could get that image refreshed to support the largest image type? We really need the 10G networking for our application. ...e yet to try this but I believe you can take a snapshot of the image after it is first installed. Then attach the snapshot to another VM and copy the data to a new volume. That new volume could then be used to create another AMI that you can deploy as you see fit. Centos 6.9 AWS Images and c4-8xlarge
...t would be nice to have that last checkbox enabled. We want to be able to usethe 10G networking that c4.8xlarge instances provide and we want to base all of our images directly on the official Centos6 release AMI. Please advise if there is anything I can do to assist in this effort. Thanks John Peacock -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I even tried setting the DEFAULT_MAIL_ENV in dovecot.conf, but that didn't work either. Anyone have any ideas about what I am missing? Lost messages with Mozilla and dovecot 0.99.x
...debugging messages are available in dovecot; it would be useful to see a log of all imap transactions, not just login, so I could confirm that it is the client process requesting that the files be deleted and not somethink with dovecot itself (or some hardware failure). Speed up large maildirs
Hi, I'm very fond of maildirs, they are simple, I like that. But I've never really understood the significance of maildir/new/. The only use I can see is that (for example in the case of dovecot), you'd move a message from new to cur and then update the index-file, that's it. So to make put it more direct, you'd know when and with what to update the index-file, based on

Fwd: Still no C4-8xl for Centos6-HVM AMI
...tos.org/pipermail/centos-virt/2016-September/005222.html but I still see no evidence this has happened. This is a major thorn in our side and has prevented us from going completely to the C4 instance type ?, which we need for performance? (both CPU and network). Upgrade to new server question
...nt the same partition from both machines), but the question is what version of dovecot to load. I'm assuming that I cannot run both 0.99.14 and 1.00.x on the same maildirs (the indexes differ?). However, is it safe for me to mount the same maildirs from two different boxes? I've decided that the eventual server will be called timosieved, in honor of our host, and echoing the original Cyrus timsieved.
