Any idea how to install PDSH on CentOS 7?
Does anyone have any idea how to install PDSH on CentOS 7? PDSH seems to be completely missing from EPEL now, for CentOS 7. Is there another repository available where we can get PDSH? Thanks, Julius

best parallel / cluster SSH
Hey folks, I stumbled upon this while looking for something else http://www.linux.com/archive/feature/151340 And it is something I could actually really make use of. But right on that site they list 3 different ones, and so I'm wondering what all is out there and what I should use. Is there one that is part of the standard CentOS? thanks, -Alan -- ?Don't eat anything you've

...emons configured everywhere, and I want this to be able to work independent of ssh. Specifically, in fact I want to be able to use this to enable and break ssh, delete an ssh key on all boxes or push out a sshd_config file to all boxes, which would intentionally break the ability to use, say, pdsh, to run a rm command on all boxes using ssh. The idea is to let a developer briefly enable and then disable the ability to use pdsh, by pushing out ssh keys and config to allow it, do their jobs, then remove the ssh keys again. In this particular example, and because of this particular setup be...

Turn off client autoupdate
Hello! By default puppet node connects to server periodically and looks if there is something execute. I''m wondering is it possible to make puppet clients not connect to server themselves? So that it would be possible to update a node only with puppetrun nodename. --- WBR, Sergey -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users"

[Gluster3.2@Grid5000] 128 nodes failure and rr scheduler question
Hello, I'm driving some experiments on grid'5000 with GlusterFS 3.2 and, as a first point, i've been unable to start a volume featuring 128bricks (64 ok) Then, due to the round-robin scheduler, as the number of nodes increase (every node is also a brick), the performance of an application on an individual node decrease! So my question is : how to STOP the round-robin distribution

question on managing multiple boxes
How do admins handle a situation with many boxes like 50 for example. If I wish to tell 50 boxes to run a handful of commands - how is that done? (I mean without actually logging into 1,2,3,4...X and executing the commands) Thanks, Jerry

Running on Dell hardware?
I have a Dell R710 which has been flaky for some time. It crashes about once per week. I have literally replaced every piece of hardware in it, and reinstalled Sol 10u9 fresh and clean. I am wondering if other people out there are using Dell hardware, with what degree of success, and in what configuration? The failure seems to be related to the perc 6i. For some period around the time

PuppetReporting
hi I''ve read about PuppetReporting at the Trac website. Apparently you are working on integrating the benchmark tests for every type in ruby. Do you have any idea when this will all get implemented? This is a crucial part (and actually a necessary feature) in the configuration management system we have set up using Puppet. grtz Koen Vereeken

Multihomed question: want Lustre over IB andEthernet
Chris, Perhaps you need to perform some write_conf like command. I''m not sure if this is needed in 1.6 or not.
