MIssing bell
Hi,
Earlier I asked how I could arrange a bell tone on my CentOS box.
I have pcspkr loaded, I can play music over my boxes but the system beep
or bell is missing.
Seeveral people commented on gnome issues, but I'm using only text-mode.
Whe I go down with the cursor e.g. on the command-line I dont hear
anything. Is there a way to switch the bell/beep on???

pcspkr wave encoding
Hi,
there is an interesting case when the FLAC encoder (using 1.2.0) is
given simple waves. Simple waves means: I have a list of {frequency,
duration, pause} tuples that define the monophonic tune. In other
words, exactly one frequency is played at a time.
This is the original dataset from 1989 (driving a PC speaker back
then):

Debian/squeeze: domU live migraton hangs
Hi,
In view of the problems I was having with DomU network timeout after a
live migration (I posted that problems here a while ago but never got
anything except from private emails) I finally updated my
Debian/Squeeze Dom0s last night to a new kernel, from 2.6.32-23 to
2.6.32-26.
Now live migration just hangs...Any ideas?

pc speaker mess
I wanted to enable my pc speaker and ref.
http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=855 this should work:
/sbin/modprobe pcspkr

off ;)
a /sbin/modprobe -r pcspkr helped a little, it stopped beeping and just gave one
long sound. I couldnt take it anymore so I rebooted it to make it stop.
Is this a bug ??
