Questions about setup
I have worked in IT for several years and programming or anything related to this is not exactly one of my strengths. I need help creating a vesamenu.. Im trying to setup up so I can access my Acronis backup and disaster recovery 10 server, knoppix live cd, hardware diagnostics - pcdoctor and maybe a hiren type boot cd. I checked the Linux irc channel which I guess is now abandoned. If anyone could help me this would make my job so much easier and if need be I would be willing to pay for your help (not much .. just a poor IT Manager in a small company) Thanks, Jesse

How can wine be available for all users?
I'm using kubuntu 8.04 and I'm able to run three programs that I installed but another user can't. Is there any way to make .wine available for all users? I thought about copying .wine to wine in /usr/lib/wine or /usr/bin/wine.

Unable to rename Macromedia icons using kde menu editor
I'm unable to edit the file names for about three Macromedia programs using the kde menu editor. When using the editor it says the program titles have been renamed but once I leave the editor the name is unedited again. I also can't change the icons for these programs.

Winedevice.exe has caused a serious problem and Flash 8
The program winedevice.exe has caused a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvience. I'm running Macromedia Flash 8 when this error occurs. I'm also unable to run the "Uninstall Wine Software" program. When I click it, nothing happens. This happens with wine 1.1.22 and 1.1.23. Any ideas? Thx! [Image:

Unable to browse or open Macromedia flash 8 .flas
I'm unable to browse flash 8 .flas. This is a pc with 7.10. When I am able to browse .flas, I get an error when trying to open them. I've even copied the .flas to the wine drive_c folder to see if that would make a difference but it didn't. All of the .flas that I have are in file format flash 8 or earlier. I even tried another pc with 8.04 installed and that didn't make a
