...ry. I was going to install CEntOS on it and try to run VirtualBox for other OS'es. I am curious to know if I have to stick with the 2GB "max" the specs say the machine can take or if its possible to install a 4GB module that is designed the same? In other words I have seen 2GB DDR PC2700 memory that will fit the casing and work, but I have ALSO seen 4GB DDR PC6400 memory modules with the same number of pins (240) will this work? I would want to have as much memory in there that will allow the VirtualBox to run smoothly.....any help would be appreciated! EGO II

I am planning to build a server based on the SuperMicro X7DBE+-O motherboard. This server will have two dual-core Xeon processors and a 3ware 9550SX raid card. I've set up a 1GB tmpfs filesystem on a system with a single IDE disk and 2GB's of memory. I'm storing a large amount of RRD files (~300MB) on the tmpfs filesystem to make their generation a bit speedier... this part works great. I need a program that will just run everything at max so I can measure the max power used on some systems. My 'Kill a Watt' meter should show up early next week. SO run that CPU at max, using all memory, and keeping the harddrive spinning. I can jsut do pings on the lan card for it to stay awake. I have searched here and on the net and have come back with nothing.
