A coding question involving variable assignments in ifelse()
...oss > insurance.threshold, loss - coverage.limit, pmin(loss, deductible))) } net <- replicate(1000000, tmpf()) Now, I would like to enhance the model by incorporating the following two probabilities: 1. Probability of claim being accepted by the insurance company, say, 0.8 2. Probability of payout by the insurance company, say, 0.999 Could anyone suggest how one might do this? platform i386-pc-mingw32 arch i386 os mingw32 system i386, mingw32 status major 2 minor 2.1 year 2005 month 12 day 20 svn rev 36812 language R Thanks,

Portfolio Optimization
Hi, I'm an R newbie and I've been struggling with a optimization problem for the past couple of days now. Here's the problem - I have a matrix of expected payouts from different stock option strategies. Each column in my matrix represents a different stock and each row represents the return to the strategy given a certain market move. So the rows are not a time series of percentage returns but a dollar payout in different expected scenarios, i.e. Expected...

The next step is to calculate what my winnings would be based on the payout table - for non-jackpot winners. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. while loop problems
Hi , i am trying to get this loop in my r program to work but it is not giving me the results that I desire. I am trying to model an insurance contract where there are n securities that have a fixed likelihood of default vector(data[i,2]) and a payout vector(data[i,1]). i need to price the value of stop losses at the security level and at the portfolio level. to do this i created two while loops for the conditional vectors of each level (which will be inputed into the function by the user) one while loop to scan through the various securities a...

So, in addition to 6$ opening Survey, you all have 5 more 4$ surveys totalling to an amount of 20$ and one more March special survey for 1$ (which will also make you eligible for a lucky draw of 500$ -- Try your luck). So in all you all can make 27$ in just 15 minutes. So out of the 75$ payout, you just need 48$ more to get the money into your paypal account. This will be as simple as inviting your friends to join (you will require only 40 friends to join u and you can ask your first payment of 75$ in your Paypal Account). Your friends can also earn 27$ on the first day itself. Just ask...

I changed the initrd to 2.6mb and that memory block is still exactly at 23852 / 14464 / 14464. Actually the process size is around 12 mb when pygrub is counting down to boot, then jumps up to 14+ mb

request for clarification on Asterisk T.38 bounty
The bounty stands at $5,500. I'm seriously considering taking a shot at it if I can find a decent T.38 provider to test with (I'm still hoping for reliable PAYG T.38). It looks like a lot of very smart people have done a lot of very hard work (t38modem, spandsp) that would go towards getting this working. At this point it appears to be mostly a matter of integration
