Easiest way to compile custom kernel, for fedora +openswan+xen+patchomatic
I want to compile a custom xenU kernel for a firewall distribution
(endianfw, version of ipcop), I can get it to load up but the kernel is
missing some modules that aren''t resident. So I want to make a custom
version for this domU, I know what I need kernel+openswan+xen+patch-o-matic
but I not sure the best way to go about this, do I patch a fedora source or
start with a vanilla kernel?

RR and iptables
hi list!
it is not really a shorewall question but more iptables related:
is there a way to block icmp echo request packets with record route
option set other than completely block icmp echo requests?
googling the topic i found a patchomatic project that introduces an
ipv4options match, that allows to match on record route.
i also browsed through /proc/sys/net/ipv4 but didn''t find anything
promising.
i am concerned about this because this feature allows a potential
attacker to neatly map your network.
TIA for your input/ide...

Modify the TCP Window size
Hi lartc users,
When a packet arrived to a network device it was stored on a skb structure
and then enqueue on a network stack.
One of the tests that I want to do is modify the TCP window size and verify
the changes on the bandwidth between two hosts.
To do that I need to know how to modify de packet window size and maybe
recalculate the checksum value of the TCP packet.
All I can do is read

CLASSIFY target documentation
...u32 cannot see marks because they''re not in the
packet, so my next obvious solution is to skip MARKing them and just
CLASSIFY them...
So, pointers to documentation on CLASSIFY would be appreciated. Also,
if it is an optional feature, that means I''ll have to apply a patch
from the PatchoMatic, right?
