no valid partitiontables anymore
Hi,
recently I had to shut down an iscsi-raid an the connected servers.
After the reinstallation and changing the ip config to match our new lan
design, I can login to the iscsi device, the volumes are there and I can
establish an iscsi link to some volumes.
But, some other volumes on the iscsi device are reported with an invalid
partition table or that they can't be mounted.

hw raid 10 with 4 disc, recomended partitiontable
I am familiar with centos and this forum, and have some rhel / centos
questions. Therefore I'm asking the question here
I am about to install rhel4.5 on a hp dl380 with 4 disc's. The standard
rhel installation installers all in one partition?
Will there be any advantage of splitting the file system up?
What would be a good recommended partition table for a server running
scripts

About doing backups with kvm guests

Convert HVM to paravirtualized guest
We are just starting to work with Xen and so far have been
pleased with the results. The host system is running Fedora Core 6 with
all of the latest kernel/xen updates.
One of our first projects was to create an HVM guest using an LV
based disk for the guest. It originally started out as a Fedora Core 3
system, but has been upgraded using network updated to Fedora Core 6. I
believe we would

Convert HVM to PV
Hi Everyone,
To convert an HVM install to PV, is it just as simple as creating a new config file, and use the "kernel" and "initrd" parameters to boot from a XEN kernel stored in the Dom0, and use the (ex) HVM''s disk image in the "disk" parameter?
Or is there something else I am missing?
Thanks

Quantum IDE HDD DMA issue.
I am running RH 7.3 with kernel 2.4.18-27.7.x.
Recently I have added a new 60GB Quantum IDE hard drive to the server. I
have set it up as a MASTER on a separate IDE channel. Two partitions on
the /dev/hdc are /dev/hdc1, /dev/hdc2 - both using ext3.
For more detailed HDD parameters, this is 'hdparm -i /dev/hdc':
