wine and microsoft word file write errors ???
...causes a disk full or permissions error. I am running as root root in
this case and other programs under wine write w/o error.
If it is any clue the file name shows up as all caps in 8.3 format i.e.
LONGFI~1.DOC as opposed to longfilename.doc. This is true for all the
writes from MS Word. The partiction is FAT32 and is configured:

>"Type" = "hd"
>"Label" = "win98"
>"Filesystem" = "win95"

(BTW what is the relationship of "win95" and FAT32 ??)

e2fsck: bad magic number in super-block
Hi,
I'm on kernel 2.14.13-ac8 running Redhat 7.1. I've
successfully converted all my file system to ext3 and
is working fine for a couple of weeks. However, I did
a silly thing when I e2fsck (version 1.23) an ext3
/home partiction without umounting it. Now, I believe
my partiton super-block is corrupted and the system
wasn't able to mount /home. I tried as suggested to do
a e2fsck -b 8193 /dev/hdaX but returned with the "bad
magic numer in super-block while trying to open
/dev/hdaX". I've also tried debugfs...

I have a FreeBSD-Current and I wanted to access the shares in our Windows NT.
What I did:
Since I only wanted to Access the only Data Server that we have in our
ethernet LAN I tried in kterm the following,
#smbutil view //windows_username@dataserver
The result is,
