Explorer & MS Office hang
...as they're not associated with an Office app. The office files don't seem to be corrupted either - if I ftp them to my w2k workstation I can then open them locally.
I tried setting fake oplocks yes/no but that didn't seem to change anything.
Any suggestions/solutions?
thanks,

This was in regards to a problem with ms applications hanging on trying to

File permissions incorrectly assigned

the create and directory information some users files are still assigned
permissions like -rw-------, which is unaccessible from the web. Is there
a way to garauntee that a file/directory will be created with the correct
permissions or have I missed a step?
Thanks,

NT/UNIX/Samba passwords synchronization
I have a prerelease version of Samba 2.0.4 running successfully on MacOSX
Server with encrypted passwords and domain security. (Thanks to help from

team) I have just started work on testing Samba as a NT domain member, and
want to know if I have the right ideas from my reading of the docs:
With security = domain, the Samba
