New member, new OS, old Tao user
Mr. Parsley, the main man at the Tao Linux group, has announced that he will
no longer be able to do his thing for Tao Linux. Just recently, I had
decided to investigate CentOS 4 before his announcement, and liked a lot of
what I saw. Due to the Tao announcement, I have decided that CentOS will

I am using WAMP(windows, Apache, mySQL and PHP) for my web development.
So I have already MySQL and Apache working. Could any one tell me how to

SDL display of HVMs -- how?
I''m having some trouble working out how to make the SDL interface
for HVM domUs appear. The documentation simply says "it will appear"
when you start the domU, but doesn''t state what packages or libraries
are needed in order for this magic to happen, or explain how to debug
it if it doesn''t happen. All that I''m getting at the moment is a domU

para VM Guest list ?
Hi,
I just installed SLES10 and started using xen. My platform does not
support HVM, therefore I am using the paravirtualized technology in XEN.
What I want is to have a guest RHEL4 machine on my current SLES10 host. Is
it possible ?

Faster USB key booting?
.../2.0 drivers. The kernel/initrd load
speed seems even slower than usb-1.1 speeds. Any clues/tips appreciated.
The boot speed is acceptable, but I get the feeling I should be able to
boot these much faster (since the main image loads so fast, at usb 2.0
speeds).
regards,
David

bind and 3.4
Hello,
I encountered a problem when upgrading from 3.3 to 3.4 on i386.
The machine is a production name server running bind. Looks like the
new rpm moved my named.conf to .rpmsave and chkconfig'ed bind to off.
That's really bad. A more gentle behavior would have been to save the
new named.conf to .rpmnew and not mess with initscripts.
Anyone else notice that?

Enterprise Linux community rebuild space, it has essentially
displaced WhiteBox (in part due to the loss of momentum which
last years hurricane inflicted on New Orleans, and John

more available than the upstream, due to a massive mirror
pool, and a smart, geo-location aware update mirror

nice.
Thanks.
