replicated time series - lme?
Dear R-helpers,
I have a time series analysis problem in R:
I want to analyse the output of my simulation model which is proportional
cover of shrubs in a savanna plot for each of 500 successive years. I have
run the model (which includes stochasticity, especially in the initial
conditions) 17 times generating 17 time series of shrub cover.
I am interested in a possible periodicity of shrub

arima on defined lags
...5th order lag polynomial model with for example coeffs
Coefficients:
ar1 ar2 ar3 ar4 ar5
0.4715 0.067 -0.1772 0.0256 -0.2550
s.e. 0.1421 0.158 0.1569 0.1602 0.1469
Is it possible (I doubt it but am just checking) to define a more
parsimonous lag1 and lag 5 model with coeff ar1 and ar5?
Or do I need one of the other TS packages?
thanks
Gerard

Time-Series, multiple measurements, ANOVA model over time points, analysis advice
Hi,
I have some general questions about statistical analysis for a research
dataset and a request for advice on using R and associated packages for a
valid analysis of this data. I can only pose the problem as how to run
multiple ANOVA tests on time series data, with reasonable controls of the
family-wise error rate. If we run analysis at many small sections of a long
time-series, the Type-I
