Allowing puppet to drop privileges for a manifest
Greetings, Our environment consists of about 600 Redhat Enterprise Linux 3, 4, 5, and soon 6 servers. We use cfengine 2 currently, but plan on migrating to puppet. Right now, we have our root-owned cfengine client running every 15 minutes from cron contacting a single cfservd server. Additionally, our employees start their own cfengine and puppet instances on on some servers running under

Changing colour of continuous time-series in ggplot2
Hi, This seems like there should be a simple answer, but having spent most of the day trying to find it, I'm becoming less convinced and as such am asking it here. Here's a sub-set of my data (a data.frame in R): myDF time value trial 1 2011-03-01 01:00:00 64092 FALSE 2 2011-03-01 02:00:00 47863 FALSE 3 2011-03-01 03:00:00 43685

Intermittent TCP connect issues when using tinc 1.0.23 and IPv6
Hi, I am using tinc 1.0.23 in router mode and am having trouble with intermittent TCP connect timeouts that do not occur when routing the TCP over the internet directly. I am using a pure IPv6 setup (i.e direct IPv6 connections, and tunneled IPv6 subnets). My configs are as follows: Site 1: ----------------------- tinc.conf: Name = rsukmhb AddressFamily = ipv6 BindToAddress =

virtual MAC address prefixes
Hi folks, We''d like to setup a number of virtual servers as xen instances which would be able to be migrated among physical machines as needed. These servers would host services such a Grid middleware servers, condor scheduler head nodes, web servers, etc.. We would need each of these virtual servers to be available to the outside via a static IP address, and would like to

Fedora core 3 & xen custom kernel build
Hi folks, I''m trying to do a custom Xen kernel build of Fedora core 3 that install VLAN support. I''ve grabbed the kernel config files from the source rpm for the Fedora 3 kernel, and renaming the appropriate one " *i686-smp* " to .config, have done a make ARCH=xen oldconfig. The problem is that only a few of the fedora core 3 config settings are used, and I
