python-interactive for CentOS/EL 4
Hi all,
Could anyone point me in the right direction for a package that
provides the 'interactive' module for Python? I need to do some SSH
stuff in Python so I grabbed python-paramiko from RPMForge (as always,
thanks Dag & co.). Paramiko appears to be dependent on python-crypto
but the RPM doesn't require it..
[wmcdonald at willspc ssh]$ ./demo.py

[Bug 3196] New: [Information Disclosure] OpenSSH_7.4p1 Raspbian-10+deb9u7 discloses OS version

Component: sshd
Assignee: unassigned-bugs at mindrot.org
Reporter: 5990 at protonmail.com
Created attachment 3432

CrackMapExec accidentally reports OS version using the paramiko library
The Raspbian-10+deb9u7 release of OpenSSH_7.4p1 sends over the
"Raspbian-10+deb9u7" text when communicating SSHD version to a client.
This is considered an Information Disclosure error, because SSHD
shouldn't disclose OS Version information to clients.

New version of the XCP migration utility now available at xen.org
...ility is now available at:
http://www.xen.org/products/cloud_projects.html
Release highlight is the ability to migrate PV VMs that load kernel/ramdisk from the Dom0(without pygrub).
In order for the script to automatically SFTP the kernel/ramdisk to the server( using --sftp ), you will need the paramiko module: http://www.lag.net/paramiko. You can also SCP/SFTP the kernel/ramdisk manually, this will definitely be the case when saving the VM to .xva instead of streaming directly to a server.
Changes since 1.1.0
* Implemented the handling of guest kernels/initrds loaded from dom0. These can eith...

[HOWTO] Running Xen 4.0 host (dom0) with Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 (RHEL6)
Hello,
If you''re interested in running Xen 4.0 hypervisor/dom0 on RHEL6,
take a look at here: http://wiki.xen.org/xenwiki/RHEL6Xen4Tutorial
It explains steps needed to rebuild Xen 4.0.1 src.rpm from Fedora on RHEL6,
and how to fetch dom0 capable 2.6.32.x kernel from upstream git repository.
It also shows how to get libvirt/virt-manager working with Xen on RHEL6.
Hopefully it helps :)

Semantics of known_hosts file
Hi everyone,
I am trying to get Debian bug #668239 [1] resolved, which is concerned
with the way paramiko (a SSH implementation in Python) deals with
OpenSSH's known_hosts file when non-standard ports are used. Hence, I
want to make sure that I correctly understand OpenSSH's behaviour. If
this is not a topic for this list, please point me to a more appropriate
list.

Questions about inferred state machines for OpenSSH
...hoping some of you
might be interested. Maybe you can even shed some light on it.
Setup: I'm using LearnLib's (Java) version of the L* learning
algorithm [1] to come up with sequences of textual representations of
SSH messages (such as "DEBUG; DISCONNECT"). An altered version of
Paramiko (Python) receives those queries and translates them to actual
SSH traffic, which is sent to OpenSSH. Responses are fed to the
learning algorithm, resulting in a state machine.
The PDFs of inferred state machines, as well as the used messages, can
be found online [2]. I've queried the the trans...

good shell script examples?
I am looking for a beginner guide to shell scripting simple tasks on CentOS
(e.g. ssh'ing into a server / router / switch, checking for certain things,
then exiting and going to the next IP).
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look? (I'm relatively new to
bash)
