easiest way to create DomU
Hello community,
I''ve already installed Xen hypervisor over CentOS 6.0. I am wondering where
can I obtain some patched guest OS kernels to get start. It seems that
under PV mode, guest kernel needs to be modified (correct me if I am
wrong). I am a newbie and have no previous experiences on Xen so any
suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,

XenServer 6.0 -- good enough?
...:
* Stability on running 1 or 2 Linux VMs
* Performance issues (if any), esp. in regards to networking
* Security issues
I am *seriously* considering replacing a small box (Pentium 4 server
currently acting as the company''s firewall) from its current XS 5.6 SP
2 to XS 6.0.

Separate kernel on domU's
Hello,
I am still learning about Xen.. I am trying to setup Xen hypervisor
for the first time. I was reading the howto here:
http://www.howtoforge.com/paravirtualization-with-xen-4.0-on-debian-squeeze-amd64
and I stopped here:
"(To use the default Ubuntu kernel instead of Debian''s Xen kernel in
the guest, you can also comment out the kernel and initrd lines in

On-the-Fly multiplexing Video
.... Could you tell me how to create on-the-fly live
video streaming? What program should i installed?
@Narendra
The advantages maybe if you want to monitor a lot of room (like
security control room) or for multi-angle live stream. But it's just
my opinion, and dosen't proved yet

XenServer : "Error picking up messages from Xen service: The data is invalid"
...data is invalid
All functionalities seem okay, though (network running, hard disks
working, statistics get recorded by XenCenter, etc).
I''ve tried opening the firewall fully, but the error message persisted.
Now, what could be the culprit here?
Any hint would be appreciated.

Q: Tool to copy Vorbis comments to MP3 ID tags
Hi,
I'm wondering: If you have audio files like foo1.ogg and foo1.mp3, and the Vorbis
file has nice comments (title, tracknumber, artist, album, date, etc), is there a
tool to copy the information to an MP3 file on a "best effort" strategy?
I know that MP3 TAGs are quite limited regarding lengths.

Lyrics stored in .ogg files?
Hi,
I've heard somewhere that it is possible to store inside .ogg files text
streams and thus it should be possible to store lyrics for the sond
directly in the file. Is it true? Could anybody point me towards some code
how to do it (Python preferable, but not required)? Is there any
documentation for text streams in .ogg files?
Thanks for any reply,

I have allocated 4 GB memory for a guest instance on the Xen hypervisor.
But within the instance there is only 2 GB memory available. See the details,
the guest is named pr-idm:

I''ve been trying to get the gplpv drivers working with Windows 2008 R2

I''m getting a BSOD shortly after boot up and it can be seen at

Has anyone had success with these drivers and Windows 2008 R2 64-bit? If

preferred XEN dom0 OS
Hi,
What is the preferred OS to use with XEN, as the dom0 host?
We primarely us CentOS (currently 5.6) but it seems that the native
XEN that comes with CentOS is a bit behind.
What is the preferred OS to run on the dom0''s?
