"subscript out of bounds" error when trying to make heatmap
I am having trouble outputting a presence/absence heatmap using the following R script:
source("http://faculty.ucr.edu/~tgirke/Documents/R_BioCond/My_R_Scripts/overLapper.R")
I can generate the heatmap graphic. I just can't sort my columns without getting an error.
The instructions I'm following are from the Bioconductor manual here:

Question3: Are there any recommended BIOS settings to operate the RAM

Question4: Any other proposals.
Being located in Germany makes the "just return it to the dealer"
proposal quite unattractive.

storage for mailserver
hi,
I am planning to replace my old CentOS 6 mail server soon. Most details
are quite obvious and do not need to be changed, but the old system
was running on spinning discs and this is certainly not the best
option for todays mail servers.
With spinning discs, HW-RAID6 was the way to go to increase reliability
and speed.
Today, I get the feeling, that traditional RAID is not the best
option for

Please Recommend Affordable and Reliable Cloud Storage for 50 TB of Data
Hi,
Could you recommend affordable and reliable cloud storage for 50 TB of data?
Here are some important factors to consider:
1. Personal/non-commercial use.
2. Must be affordable, since I am unemployed most of the time and have
super low levels of income for the past 12 years since I graduated
from the National University of Singapore in 2007.
3. Cloud storage provider must not be a

Configure a Linux firewall using FirewallD, by editing allowed

This is likely the right tool for the job.

[HW] Do the HDD cages in rack mount chassis indicate visual/audio HDD failure?
I have no personal experience with rack mount chassis.

To reduce the H/W cost, I am considering Linux mdadm RAID10 on a 2U chassis.
I would appreciate clarification on the following:
In rack mount chassis, do the cages that house the
hard disks have

EDAC Kernel Panic 2.6.9-78 and above
I've got a production system running CentOS 4 that was rock solid
until I upgraded from 2.6.9-55 to 2.6.9-78.0.13 (now running
2.6.9-89.0.11). The system now crashes intermittently after a few
weeks. I finally caught the panic message :
EDAC MC0: INTERNAL ERROR: channel-b out of range (4 >= 4)
Kernel panic - not syncing: MC0: Uncorrected Error
Looking at the kernel changelog, I see that

cron.hourly runs twice
For some reason I cannot fathom,
cron.hourly runs twice each hour
on one of my two CentOS-5.4 systems,
as reported in /var/log/cron:
-------------------------
Mar 16 14:01:01 helen crond[27833]: (root) CMD (run-parts /etc/cron.hourly)
Mar 16 14:01:01 helen crond[27834]: (root) CMD (run-parts /etc/cron.hourly)
-------------------------
On the other it just runs once, as expected.

funny,
my webmin installation on a banana-pi has webmin 1.831, which has
support for firewalld.
I am not sure, but I believe I got it directly from www.webmin.com.
