I converted the 128kbps tom.mp3 file into a .wav and then used oggenc -m 2
to
laterally encode it to 128kbps tommy.ogg format. I noticed that it gets very
close to the size of an mp3, great job guys. Then I got to thinking that
maybe it could be compressed further with gzip so I tried it. I also gzipped
the mp3 to compare and it looks like the mp3 gzips better but gzipping the
ogg file will get

R's Data Dredging Philosophy for Distribution Fitting
Forum,
I'm a grad student in Civil Eng, took some Stats classes that required
students learn R, and I have since taken to R and use it for as much as I
can. Back in my lab/office, many of my fellow grad students still use
proprietary software at the behest of advisers who are familiar with the
recommended software (Statistica, @Risk (Excel Add-on), etc). I have spent
a lot of time learning

Just saying hello and I''m looking forward to seeing all the cool camping stuff

Does R have a Decision Tree functionality akin to 'Precision Tree' by
Palisade? When I search, I end up with 'rpart' but this does not
appear to be what I am looking for.
Kind regards,

Possible pam_ssh bug?
I have a shell user who is able to login to his accounts via sshd on FreeBSD 8.2 using any password. The user had a .ssh/id_rsa and .ssh/id_rsa.pub key pair without a password but nullok was not specified, so I think this should be considered a bug.
During diagnosis, /etc/pam.d/sshd was configured for authentication using:

auth required pam_ssh.so

Recent 6.1-PRE: burncd: ioctl(CDRIOCFIXATE): Input/output error
I'm running:
localhost(6.1-P)[21] uname -a
FreeBSD localhost 6.1-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 6.1-PRERELEASE #19: Wed Mar 15 07:15:25 PST 2006 root@g1-18.catwhisker.org.:/common/S2/obj/usr/src/sys/LAPTOP_30W i386
localhost(6.1-P)[22]
I figured I'd grab a copy of the recent 6.1-BETA4 (disc1) ISO to
try it out & hand it out to folks....
It seems to have worked, but I got a bit of a whine
