You can see it by comparing the blue of the points to the blue of the line. I guessing i am duing it wrong but i'm stucked with it. Do you have suggestions? An additional question is that i want to add text along the blue line (which is a reference) but i did not understand what ge...

I'm running a CentOS 6.5 chroot to build Pale Moon (a Firefox fork) for older machines running distros like Puppy linux. Before anyone asks... * Yes, even though the older machines are using "ancient" glibc, etc, they do have security patches back-ported, e.g. http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=90461 "Lucid...

Wich web browser on CentOS6 ?
Yes David, I'm using a release 32 of Firefox to reach my olds C6100 IDRAC7 interface. The problem is for latest Firefox versions as they require libgtk-3 not available in Centos6/RHEL6 distribution. Today I use a very very bad solution to reach my switch with latest firmware version from the latest Firefox available in CentOS: I disable https and use http.... Even if it is on a private

How to downgrade gtk2 libs in CentOS 6.8?
Hi all. I'm using a CentOS 6.8 VM to do volunteer builds for an open source project. I want to build Pale Moon with a gtk2 library older than 2.24, to allow people with older linuxes to run it. Short summary, if built against version gtk2-2.24 and/or higher, the binary will use a function that does not exist in gtk2-2.23 and lower. Net result is that the program dies with an "undefined symbol:&q...

Wich web browser on CentOS6 ?
...each my switch with latest > firmware version from the latest Firefox available in CentOS: I disable > https and use http.... > Even if it is on a private network, in a dedicated vlan behind a > firewall... I don't like this. Hello; Disclosure: I'm the person who does the Pale Moon (Firefox fork) SSE contributed build for linux. Note: this build is 32-bit only. See https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=13530&start=20#p105849 I subscribe to this list because I use a CentOS 6.5 chroot to do the builds, and I have occasional questions. SSE-only machines...

Formatting the output of pairs()
Would anyone be able to give me some ideas on how to go about changing the output of pairs()? Here is my code so far: > histogram(~GRC.SLA|as.factor(species.type),data=group.means, + strip=function(...) + strip.default(...,style=1,factor.levels=c("Conifers","Trees","Herbs","Mo nocots"))) As a default, this produces the bars in a pale blue and the strip in orange-yellow. NetBeans 6.0/Script Console Window
Has anyone figured out how to turn NetBeans IRB window into Ruby on Rails script/console window where the gems like ActiveRecord, ActionPack etc are recognized? May be an easy one for the Rails Guru''s out there, not for me. By default, the NetBeans IRB window only loads Ruby. I am trying to see how well NetBeans 6.0''s Ruby/RoR support works fully realizing that it is an alpha

...ot building RPMs, but you could use the chroot for building any > software, and on any arbitrary CentOS or Fedora system. 1) Not everybody runs Fedora/Redhat/CentOS 2) The builds I'm doing are targetted at distros, like Puppy linux, which use older libs with backported security fixes. Pale Moon built in a chroot or mock chroot in CentOS 6.8 and up, let alone any modern distro, does not run on "Lucid Puppy" linux. That's because it'll expect the newer libs on the target machine. This is why I have to provide the entire old CentOS 6.5 environment complete with older...

Emu48 under wine, misbehaves
Hello, I installed Emu48 (emulator of HP48 and HP49 calculators) on Wine, but unfortunately it misbehaves. The "screen" of the emulated calculator shows strange colors (sometimes yellow on white, sometimes a pale pink color, depends on selected "skin"). Any suggestions to fix the problem? This is wine 1.1.2 on Arch Linux. Thanks! -- Renan Birck ~ Santa Maria, RS, Brasil "Quando tudo que voc? tem ? um martelo, todos os seus problemas se parecem com seus dedos."

Referencing variable names rather than column numbers
...stry, I can get that with cor(pollute[,1:3]) or with cor(pollute[1:3]) Similarly, I can see the correlations between Temp, Population and Rain with cor(pollute[,c(2,4,6)]) or with cor(pollute[c(2,4,6)]) This is fine for a seven-variable dataset. When I have 250 variables, though, I start to pale at looking up column indexes over and over. I know from reading the list archives that I can extract the column index of Industry, for example, by typing which("Industry"==names(pollute)) but doing that before each command seems dire. Trained to using Stata as I am, I am inclined to che...

R crashes when communicating with JAGS
Dear all, I have a question regarding using JAGS and R. My problem is that every single time I want to call JAGS from R the latter crashes (i.e. it turns pale and the Windows tells me "R has stopped working". Strangely, if there is a mistake in my jags code, this will be reported without a crash. Only when the code is right and the model should start to run, R stops working. I already tried to use different version of R (currently R 2.10.1 and...

[nbdkit PATCH] cache: Reduce use of bounce-buffer
Although the time spent in memcpy/memset probably pales in comparison to time spent in socket I/O, it's still worth worth reducing the number of times we have to utilize a bounce buffer when we already have aligned data.
