The lone PC in Raleigh
Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Raleigh area Ruby users Meetup. It was very interesting and very informative. I did feel a bit out of place when we noticed that of the 11-12 people there, I was the only one with a PC laptop. The rest were shiny macs. Ah well, I need to replace this thing soon, and now that BootCamp is out, I really have no more excuses. This way I can test

Experiences with Word 2000, SmartSuite 9
...ftware'' then puts up endless messages (1 a second, I think) about returning 0 without checking. If I install SmartSuite under 'doze and run it from WINE, it opens WordPro, puts up the starting dialog box, and goes totally catatonic (with --managed windows I can use the dialog box as a paintbrush). MSPaint and WordPad seem to work flawlessly. Windows media player seems to work, albeit slowly (Rage 64 video card, XFree86 4.0.1). Internet Explorer complains about lots of SHLWAPI functions and dies. I can't seem to get WINE to use the native SHLWAPI.DLL by editing the DLLoverride list in...

"they" synonym for "it"?
I''ve noticed that I phrase a lot of shared behaviours in plural, eg describe "All payment_details views" How about a "they" alias to "it" so you can write describe "All payment_details views", :shared => true do they "should have a card number field" do # ... end end WDYT? Ashley
