Printing problem - Spooled files won't print
Hi,
I have some trouble getting files printed on my Solaris 8 machine running
Samba 2.0.5.
The client is a winxp installed laptop, the printer is configured as a
postscript printer (Minolta PagePro 12 PS), although it is a PCL printer
(Minolta PagePro 6).

cheep laser printer recomendations
Hi!
I would like to hear what printers go good w/our operating system.
While back, I should have checked w/y'all like I'm doing now but I just
went ahead and bought a Konica-Minolta PagePro 1350W. Now that W at the
end of 1350 is a huge word that means WINDOWS! grrrr! It's a great
printer 21pgs/min etc but it doesn't like linux at all and their tech
spt will tell you as much. I googled round while back...there is some
stuff there w/it and windows but I have had no luck. I got...

Can't Print from Wine
Hi,
I have Wine 0.9.29 installed on a computer running Ubuntu 6.10. When I
try to print from any application, nothing happens. The printer that I
am trying to print to is a Konica Minolta PagePro 1300W, which is
connected to a computer running Windows XP Pro. I can print to it fine
from any linux applications, but when I want to print something from an
application running under wine, it will not work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Printing graphics on CentOS 5.3
...phics) print out from the image viewer
as all-black pages appears to be gone!
I just printed 13 graphics from the image viewer directly to my laser
printer, and they're all excellent.
I suppose it could be that I'm using a more-supported laser printer
now (Brother 2140) than then (Minolta PagePro 1100), with a driver
that actually works properly - I don't know.
I'm just extremely pleased that this works, regardless pf who should
get the blame/credit!
Okay, I'm getting my breath back, now....

Unable to connect to printer; will retry in 30 seconds...: Connection timed out
Hi ALL,
I recently withed from CentOS 3 X server to CentOS 4.5. It works fine
other than printers.
there are many printers connected to it. We have configured the commnad
printconf
queue type is Networked UNIX (LPD)
Some times, we will be able to print , But, some times, We will NOT be
able to print.
We can ping its ip address. Even, when we can't print, We can ping its
ip address.

Re: CentOS Digest, Vol 38, Issue 15
...ight gray areas and no text, options, etc.
It hangs up completely and never comes back. I went back to 7.9 and
it all works perfectly. I've seen from other comments that I am not
alone here, but I have no idea what's going on, other than it doesn't
work. I use CUPS and have a Minolta PagePro 1100 laser printer that
works great with the foomatic lj4 driver in everything else.
YMMV.
