[PATCH 07/13] mm: remove the page_shift member from struct hmm_range
All users pass PAGE_SIZE here, and if we wanted to support single entries for huge pages we should really just add a HMM_FAULT_HUGEPAGE flag instead that uses the huge page size instead of having the caller calculate that size once, just for the hmm code to verify it. [PATCH 06/13] mm: remove superflous arguments from hmm_range_register

[patch/unstable] page table cleanups
Hi, In many places xen uses "unsigned long" instead of the l*_pgentry_t types to pass around page table entries. Here is a patch which fixes this in a number of places (mostly in shadow mode code). Thats what I''ve trapped in so far, maybe more of these patches follow. Fixing this is needed for adding PAE support to xen. In PAE paging mode the page table entries are 64 bit

[PATCH v2 5/7] mm/hmm: make full use of walk_page_range()
hmm_range_fault() calls find_vma() and walk_page_range() in a loop. This is unnecessary duplication since walk_page_range() calls find_vma() in a loop already. Simplify hmm_range_fault() by defining a walk_test() callback function to filter unhandled vmas. [PATCH 1/5] Paravirt page alloc.patch
The VMI backend uses explicit page type notification to track shadow page tables. The allocation of page table roots is especially tricky. [PATCH] fix x86_64 initrd support
Looks like x86_64 never quite handled initrd''s. This brings x86_64 in line with i386 in that it doesn''t check LOADER_TYPE (which will be zero anyway). Now initrd is working fine for me on x86_64. kernel: locore.s doesn't assemble (fillkpt, $PAGE_SHIFT, $PTESHIFT)
since august 8th, 2003 the kernel on my i386 pentiumIII won't compile. the problem arises in locore.s with the definition of the constants $PAGE_SHIFT and $PTESHIFT used in `shr' and `shl' instructions within the macros `fillkpt' and `fillkptphys'. i've tried to cvsup(1) RELENG_4 and RELENG_4_8 every day for over a week now, but kernel builds (as part of a buildworld)

[PATCH 1/6] Page allocation hooks for VMI backend
The VMI backend uses explicit page type notification to track shadow page tables. The allocation of page table roots is especially tricky. We need to clone the root for non-PAE mode while it is protected under the pgd lock to correctly copy the shadow. We don't need to allocate pgds in PAE mode, (PDPs in Intel terminology) as they only have 4 entries, and are cached entirely by the
