[PATCH dontapply 0/2] tools/virtio updates for API testing
Here's a patchset to update tools/virtio with changes in 3.8, as well as the proposed API extension. Useful to see whether the extra level of indirection adds measureable overhead. I will upstream at least patch 1 soon. Michael S. Tsirkin (2): tools/virtio: fix build for 3.8 tools/virtio: update for the new virtio API drivers/vhost/test.c | 4 +++- tools/virtio/Makefile

[PATCH 0/5] vringh
This introduces vringh, which are generic accessors for virtio rings (host side). There's a host-side implementation in vhost, but it assumes that the rings are in userspace, and is tied to the vhost implementation. I have patches to adapt it to use vringh, but I'm pushing this in the next merge window for Sjur, who has CAIF patches which need it. This also includes a test program in

[RFC PATCH V2 0/5] vhost: accelerate metadata access through vmap()
...all over drivers/, wouldn't > work: > > drivers/scsi/isci/request.c:1430 > > kaddr = kmap_atomic(page); > memcpy(kaddr + sg->offset, src_addr, copy_len); > kunmap_atomic(kaddr); > Are you sure "page" is an userland page with an alias address? sg->page_link = (unsigned long)virt_to_page(addr); page_link seems to point to kernel memory. I found an apparent solution like parisc on arm 32bit: void __kunmap_atomic(void *kvaddr) { unsigned long vaddr = (unsigned long) kvaddr & PAGE_MASK; int idx, type; if (kvaddr >= (void *)FIXADDR_START) {...

Adding images for pagination links in will_paginate
Hi, I am using will_paginate for pagination. I have to show only Previous and Next links, that I have achieved by ":page_links=>false" parameter. Now I want to show the images instead of "Previous" and "Next" labels. Can anyone tell how to achieve this in will_paginate? Thanks, Tushar -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the...

[PATCH 0/2] tools/virtio: virtio_ring testing tool
This implements a virtio simulator: - adds stubs for enough support functions to compile virtio ring in userspace. - Adds a stub vhost based module this can talk to. This should help us decide things like which ring layout works best. Communication is currently done using an eventfd descriptor. This means there's a shared spinlock there: what I would like to do in the future, is run

[PATCH 1/6] virtio_host: host-side implementation of virtio rings.
Getting use of virtio rings correct is tricky, and a recent patch saw an implementation of in-kernel rings (as separate from userspace). This patch attempts to abstract the business of dealing with the virtio ring layout from the access (userspace or direct); to do this, we use function pointers, which gcc inlines correctly. will_paginate: pagination links are wrong
I put everything in a pastie to make it a bit more readable: http://pastie.org/593379 This is the gist: Will_paginate doesn''t play quite nice. The first result set is fine, and when I click on one of the paginated links, it returns the following error: Couldn''t find DictatedExam with ID=filter_widget observe_field triggers filter_widget which calls the paginated search.. Which
