Hi guys ! I have a problem and I hope I can get some help here. I want to run a Samba server on a linux firewall machine. This firewall allowa all the udp pachets and also icmp. The firewall blocks all TCP incomming connection exept on port 22 (ssh). I have allowed incomming conection on 137, 138, and 139 (TCP) ports and I stiil get an error message from windows clients. No packet is counted as transmitted or received, also if I try to ping from or to tap0. The tap interface starts to transmit/receive pachets only if it is connected to some process like qemu or openvpn. Maybe, it is not possibile for tap interface to be used directly by the linux os? I''m successfully using HTB + GRED to shape traffic based on the DSCP field. I would like to strip the DSCP and possibly replace it with normal ToS bits on egress traffic leaving my network.
