After making the mod to upsmon.conf I invoked upsmon -c reload and a few minutes later the system shut down.? There was a loss of communications with the UPS.? I did not want it to be powered down by accident. Nut will monitor the ups and shutdown Linux when the ups goes to low battery as it should. But the UPS is not shut down so the system will restart when the power is restored. If I switch the UPS off , restore power and switch the UPS on the system will restart. I have not been able to get nut to switch the UPS off after it brings the system down. As a follow up on my last message, where I talked about loss of USB communication with my Asium P700 UPS, I was thinking about some possible improvements.? 1.? When communications are lost, instead of shutting down immediately why not set a flag and then stop the driver and then restart the driver.? If communication is not re-established, and the flag was set, then shut down the system.? Perhaps...

hi all what about this... I just put together a box on a web shop (komplett.no) that will cost me NOK ~1850 (? 216) plus a small ?50 drive and cables, so say ?300. This consists of a cheap MB with a duron 1400, 256MB SDRAM and two HFC-PCI cards (if capijod will finish off the zaptel-driver soon). This is all in a cheap PC case. What do you think?
