Reverse function how to
...uration/
I can't get the permissions on the files to stick, when the files are
written they get root as owner. I run the script as root.
Secondly I would like to reverse the sync so that I can move the
directory configuration to another machine and make rsync copy the files
from there and owerwrite the original files on the system.
TIA

random typing over text
Dear R,
When I'm writing script I probably hit accidently some hot key and then the
text in script is being overwritten
by subsequent typing. Please what is the hot key or how can I disable it?

New users cannot log on, current users okay
I am having a problem with the Samba server that I run. Simply, new users
added to the system cannot log on to the PC's that are controlled from the
Samba server's domain. Users that are already on the system and have been
working for some time seem to be unaffected.
I suspect that the problem may well be related to the 'minor' problem we
experienced with the server the other

Different users having same home/mail_location?
Hello,
Will I be breaking something if I have two users share the same home
and/or mail_location (maildir format) in dovecot? Mail will only be
delivered to the primary user, the other would be used every now and
then to login via imap (webmail).
This would be on a CentOS 7 box running dovecot from the packaging
system, i.e. dovecot-2.2.10-8.el7 currently. The reason I'd like to do

Different users having same home/mail_location?
...m just wondering about the dovecot part, whether dovecot will do Unexpected Things if more than one user have the same home and mail_location? If it makes any difference, the users can have separate homes, but the mailbox should be the same for usability.
It would break things.
Easier is just to owerwrite userid from user2 to user1 after authentication with another passdb.

how to overwrite DLLs?
Moin,
I can define the load order for specific applications using winecfg. But what
is the propper way to copy these DLLs from a 'real' windows box? Just
owerwrite the wine-ddl in windows/system32/ ? But isn't this the 'build in'
DLL, that should be used for applications with load order 'Build in'?
Sorry I am confused.
