ifname in openvz container
Hi! Is there any way to specify ethernet device name to be created inside the openvz container? I could find such info at http://libvirt.org/formatdomain.html#elementsNICS. If I do as below I get br0 as ethernet device inside VM whereas I'd like it to be eth0. $ cat ovz.xml <domain type='openvz' id='144'> <name>144</name> <uuid>0071c128-58b4-4688-be17-1e062a22b36c</uuid> <vcpu>1</vcpu> <memory>524288</memory> <os> <type>exe</type> <init>/sbin/init...

GlusterFS VS OpenVZ kernel
...en the two versions. We can reproduce the errors in production and development environments. We created a new volume on our own test computers but we cannot reproduce the bugs. If we mount the development gluster volume on the test computers which are running the 2.6.18-348.3.1.el5.028stab106.2 OVZ kernel we cannot reproduce the bug. That's why we think the gluster clients work with the new kernel but the gluster daemon doesn't. We'd like to ask if anybody have noticed this issue. Best Regards, Adam

Recent openvz kernels unstable?
Has anyone else running heavily loaded openvz boxes noticed strange behavior with the latest kernels? Ever since updating to the latest *.164* kernels, we have mysterious machine lock ups. Sometime there will be an oops message, other times there will be none. The oops messages aren't the same when we manage to get one. Sometimes a machine will just drop off network without even a blip on
