looking for 802.11 SIP phone
While I have found a few 802.11 cordless SIP phones, It's not ovious
how they select which network to associate with. What I'm looking for
is a 802.11 SIP phone that will auto detect the closest wireless
network(s), offer a list to select from, then auto configure itself
using dhcp. If you think about it this could be quite handy when
strolling around in popul...

GXP-2000 phones stop registering
I have about 30 GXP-2000 phones running 1.0.1.9 which have all been
configured using the provisioning feature so the configuration is all
identical.
The problem I am having is that they randomly seem to stop registering
with asterisk. When they stop registering they can still make calls but
oviously asterisk cannot ring the phone so all incoming calls go to
voicemail.
Has anyone else had similar problems?

Printing from Win2000 to Linux
...it as local printer, I select "Standard
TCP/IP-Port" and enter the ip of the Linux computer "e.g.
129.168.0.20"). The next dialogue tells me that the device can't be
found an I can select the type of device (e.g. "generic network card").
So I stopped here because oviously, this doesn't work correctly.
2. As network printer. Windows finds my Linux, even the printer, but
tells me that the server doesn't offer a correct driver for the printer.
I can then install a driver on the local machine, that means the Windows
one, right? Now I downloaded the right driv...

Re: Applications of TDMoE "critch"
Juan,
I dont see people here with "attitude" or any need to shut down this
list as you suggested. Contrary to your experience, I find people to be
quite helpful here.
Steven's comment "Start here and then ask a real question" is definitely
not arrogant IMHO. He is just trying to knock some etiquette on Luan.
Besides, he did give him all the answer Luan was looking for.

instabilities in wxRuby 1.9.6
I have recently started to use wxRuby, because I have used the wxWidgets
library from C++ for a few years and found it an excellent toolkit. I am
using Ubuntu 8.04 and version 1.9.6 of wxRuby.
A problem though is a number of instabilities. This may be due to my own
ignorance, but I have usually found C++/wxWidgets, once the program compiles
it will at least stay working, if at times

Wx::ToolBar#insert_tool
Hey guys,
Wx::ToolBar#insert_tool, is either not referenced right, or needs to be
updated.
1.) Wx::ToolBar#insert_tool(size_t
pos, ToolBarToolBase tool) comes up with a No overloading function
type error, AKA 404 Not Found
2.) Wx::ToolBar#insert_tool(size_t pos, Integer toolId, Bitmap bitmap1,
Bitmap bitmap2 = NullBitmap, Boolean isToggle = false, Object clientData =
