r-ish ? how can i improve my code?
Hi Folks, I'm trying to learn R. One of my intentions is to do some Monte-Carlo type modelling of road "accidents". Below, to simplify things, I've appended a little program which does a 'monte-carlo' type simulation. However, it is written in a way which seems a bit un-natural in R. Could someone help me make this a bit more R-ish please? Or is there a

I know this is not exactly a CentOS problem, I'm just hoping some kind sole would help me outta this overworked fog I'm in. When the system tries to boot, the cursor just sits there in the left corner of the screen flashing. Nothing happens. I am probably missing something very simple, that will cause me great public embarrassment, but I really don't care right now. Yes, I set the bios to boot from...

Actually, looking at what you have doesn't really tell me why it gets applied to everything and not just the webmail. However, I'd say that your roundcubemail.conf is much overworked. We use something like that on openssl.org, but it generally looks like this: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin webmaster at localhost ServerName ${HOSTNAME} ServerAlias ${HOSTALIASES} Redirect permanent /https://${HOSTNAME}/...

...wd fields (along with the rest, but that part is a wrapper script around smbldap-utils away.) There is a remote possibility of getting these hashes generated by an Identity Management Server, which would make the problem go away. The IDM solution is remote, as the admin for it is already overworked, so parsing an ldif seems to be the best solution at the moment. Hello Tim, Thank you for the information. I am wondering if anyone else is facing the same issue? Or it is just that my institute firewall is creating the problem. [PATCH, v3] fix build with XEN and EARLY_PRINTK_DBGP enabled but USB_SUPPORT disabled
Since there''s no possible caller of dbgp_external_startup() and dbgp_reset_prep() when !USB, there''s no point in building and exporting these functions in that case. This eliminates a build error under the conditions listed in the subject, introduced with the merge f1c6872e4980bc4078cfaead05f892b3d78dea64. Impossible to merge with a zero rows data frame?
I'm trying to merge two data frames. One of them is a zero rows data frame. I'm using the merge parameter 'all.x = TRUE' so I'd expect to obtain all the rows of x. In fact the merge help says: all.x: logical; if 'TRUE', then extra rows will be added to the output, one for each row in 'x' that has no matching row in 'y'. These rows

These are K-12 schools, for the most part. They often don?t have technical staff on-site at all. We have to schedule time with overworked district-level staff who often only know Windows to get anything at this level done. We?ve built up nasty hacks to solve this before; VPN -> RDP -> PuTTY -> Linux server, for instance. Getting protective network admins to allow all this can chew up weeks of time. Drivers for FORE systems cards under FreeBSD
I had originally mentioned this only to 2 people, which was Jordan K. Hubbard and Paul Henning-Kemp, but since I have received a lot of queries on this, I thought I might as well post it on the FreeBSD announce groups. Included below is a posting done on the Linux-atm mailing group, by Pragnesh Sampat. I have just adapted for FreeBSD. RV -------------------------- Announcement

Ok, this is a hard one and I just thought I''d see if people on the list had any suggestions on how they would approach this, I''ve not started to implement the rails to handle this yet as I''m still at the paper planning phase. I''m building an app that has to handle availability for travel packages. The complexity comes in that a person can choose a start

establishing a Code of Conduct for R
Dear Colleagues/Developers/R enthusiasts, Would it be possible to develop a code of conduct (CoC) document for R lists, CRAN submissions that all developers/maintainers to follow? This may help all of us to better communicate and move forward together. There is a similar effort from Python community, here are the links: * https://mail.python.org/pipermail/scipy-dev/2017-August/022044.html *

In over 15 years as an active part of this community, it has always appeared to me that the community as a whole already conducts itself in a spirit of professionalism and cooperation. So I don't see the point in asking already overworked volunteers to take on and police more formal policies that really seem unnecessary. Regards, Brian --? Brian G.
