help w/push_event_handler plus doc update request
Hi,
1) Can the online api docs get updated? Specifically can the overview
pages get added in to the main http://wxruby.rubyforge.org/doc/
index.html page? I happened upon the link to the Event Overview page
while browsing some class and wished that it had been listed in the
Event section of the index page.I don''t know how many other
"overview" pages there are but it

Overview of error and warning messages for teaching + examples
Dear all,
The background: as I didn't find a manual specifically directed
towards debugging R code on a novice and intermediate level, I decided
to write a student manual myself. I have some basic examples of errors
(the classical interpunction and writing mistakes), but have the
feeling that I miss quite some of the frequently occuring mistakes and
messages. Therefore I'm looking around

Graphics overview
Hi,
is there an graphics overview, where the graphic capabitlities
of R are shown with the corresponding code? I already tested
'demo(graphics)', that isn't that comprehensive,
'demo(image)', 'demo(lattice)', searched the Mailarchive,
googled and the FAQ keeps silent, too.
For example, I know how a special graphic I need should
look like, but I don't know

Does tinc have any plan to add radius accounting/authentication(or flowing overview)?
Hi,
I use tinc-vpn to create private mesh vpn networks between office and house in different locations and it works really well. But somehow I'm considering if there were any possibility to add radius support for single node traffic management.
I does think it will be really difficult to implement such functions as a feature of a mesh network, because all of the traffic was initiated end to

its dates masked by chron
I built R 2.2.0 from source on my debian machine yesterday and updated
all packages. My problem is that "dates" function from its, that my
code heavely uses is now masked by "dates" from chron.
How can I specify tehat I want to use dates from its or how can I
prevent it from being masked?

Improve the Rails Lighthouse overview page
Hello,
I have a suggestion to improve the Rails Lighthouse overview page. At
present the description is very large. You need to scroll to find the
tickets and more importantly the list of pages.
I think a shorter description along the lines of http://i48.tinypic.com/2z6a7lt.png
would be much better. All the information at present in the
description can be moved into pages, and they can be linked

SSL overview...
I thought I read somewhere that the hostnames on replicated dovecot servers had to be different. Is this simply the hostname you specify in the config for dovecot and can this be different than the actual unix hostname?

Cheet shet or overview of visibility between modal, views, and controllers ?
Where is an overview of who can see what and how ?
session[] and params[] seem to be global, but what about instance
variables of the controller? The views seem to be able to see (and
modify) them.
components seems to be able to set instance variables that their
controllers can see; likewise partials can set values that the template
and layout can see.
I''m getting all the Rails

SSL overview...
If you are using different hostname for each server then you need different certificates or SAN certificate with corresponding subjectAltName extensions. Certificates verifies hostname so if your hostnames are different then you have to use different certificates. However it is more useful if you keep your server hostname and service hostname separately. Your server hostnames might be

Debian Virtualization Overview at FOSDEM
For those who didn't notice it yet:
At this years FOSDEM, in Brussel, Belgium, I will give a talk about an
overview of the virtualizations stuff available in Debian, especially
the new things coming into appearance in Lenny and sid since I gave the
similar talk at last year's debconf. It's happening in the Debian
developers room.
For that, I will also do some testing about the dom0

Updated overview fig
FYI - I made a small but architecturally important change to the
opensolaris overview at
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/crossbow/crossbow_overview.png
The new figure better represents our current planned long-term
architecture, which allows multiple rings to be assigned to services
or protocols *through* a single VNIC, in this case VNIC1, instead of
requiring separate VNICs per

link to a vignette/overview document in .Rd file?
Is there a reliable way to link to a vignette or other overview
document, which has been included in the "inst/doc" directory of a
source package, within a package help file in Rd format?
or maybe link to an index of such documents?

Methods overview
Sorry for the very basic, general question.... I have read over the
methods aspects of the R Language Reference manual and some of the help
pages (methods, setGeneric, etc.) and remain a bit confused yet about R
methods. Looking through the contributed docs and mail archives didn't
give me the VERY basic starting material that I feel I am lacking.
Could folks share with me a few links

Basic Overview of Active Directory with Samba Install
For those of you waiting for my write-up on this topic, the 2 or 3 projects i've had in the wind have all landed at once (don't they always) so i'm finding it difficult to make time. i think what i will do, rather than take on a major re-write of sections of the HOWTO (and the more i look at it, the less i can see that needs changing) i will put together a "Samba for Windows

Current tech overview?
Is there a technical overview of how GlusterFS distributes files across
nodes, which is up-to-date for 3.2?
I have found quite a lot of older documentation, from which I see:
* "Unify"
- it needs a shared namespace brick?
- there is a choice of schedulers
* "DHT"
- can't find out much about this; no matches for "dht" in the wiki
- presumably uses a

vorbisfile API overview documentation error
Hi
In the vorbisfile API Overview, section 'File Information' on the
Documentation page
(http://www.xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/doc/vorbisfile/fileinfo.html)
The 'ov_bitrate_instant' is said to return -1 if at the beginning of the
bitream or no new information is available.
According to the libVorbisfile Documentation, the return value is 0 in this
situation.
