...this is why the typical listening room only needs one sub-woofer. As Brian pointed out, the other channels in 5.1 (or whatever) are all full range. If every system had effective bass management, the LFE channel would be redundant for music (with the exception of the cannons at the end of the 1812 Overture). Whether the sub-woofer is redundant or not for music depends on the bass handling of the main speakers. For no reason other than it would be cool, I'd like to be able to dial an extension and have it play a random MP3. Since, however, MP3s are kinda-sorta weird due to patents, I'm not sure what the right approach for this is. Any pointers on how to go about this? Thanks! -Ken

I might not have fixed it by looking at samba logs but i noticed there was directory in user unix directory with wildcard * as folder name once i removed it, samba showed up all the files and directory. am not sure what would * as folder name caused this behaviour may be samba was trying to interpret * as something else not sure...... or it was
