determination of where a call is placed from (physical location)
I am interested in setting up asterisk to record all calls it
processes. there are however some legal quirks to doing this that I
have run across such as one party notification vs 2 party notification
requirements which depend upon the physical endpoints of a call. If I
wish to discretely record all incoming calls except those calling from
a place requiring 2 party notification (thus avoiding

no session setup connecting from xbox
Hi All,
I am attempting to connect to a Samba server (version 3.0.10) from my
xbox running MAMEoX, a port of MAME to run on the xbox. When the
program attempts to connect, Samba terminates the connection. Looking
at the host log, the relevant line is:
smbd/service.c:make_connection(735)
make_connection: refusing to connect with no session setup
I have successfully connected from MAMEoX

Problem installing R-devel dated 4 March 2016.
Thanks Peter. I tried running the uninstalled R; it worked. I checked
on the existence of FAQ, etc. --- yep everything was there. I don't
know about over-zealous virus checkers; I haven't overtly installed any
such.
So, mystified, I started all over again from scratch. This time it
worked; seamlessly.
Totally mysterious. Story of my life. Be that as it were, all systems
are go now, and my package checking was successful.
Sorry for the noise.
cheers,
Rolf

depending on orphaned packages?
Ah, I spoke too soon. I started putting the demo code into a test suite and ran one check with valgrind and ? sure enough ? there's def more issues (a cpl functions) than the overt/easy ones (and, I went back to the check results page and, also sure enough, they're there, too). They look to be fairly straightforward to resolve but it's going to take a bit longer than "this

CentOS Based Fierwall Document
For those of you that either have an older revision of my firewall document, or are otherwise keeping track of it, there is a new version available. The current version of the document is version 3.1. It's changed rather significantly in some areas.

DC site replication issue ?
All,
I'm migrating a samba3 domain to a new samba4 AD version 4.5.5. Did a fair amount of testing on isolated vlans including two sites and replication between two domain controllers.
I'm now rolling out DCs intended to become production shortly. One is in Chicago, the other in NY, and each is configured in its own timezone with NTP synching up.
I am looking at a potential replication

Linear mixed effects models
...ome NA.
Following function call was used:
dummy.lme <- lme(medlat ~ poly(Latency, degree = 2), data = dummy,
+ random = ~ Latency | Subject, na.action = na.omit)
Questions:
- Is this approach o.k., or have you lost all your hair already?
- Can one of the lme-experts see if there's something overtly wrong with my
lme-call (especially the fixed and random term)
- I wanted to see how the fits look like for every individual. Using
plot(dummy.lme), I thought this should yield a trellis plot, with each
individual in a separate plot (and fitted line). However it didn't (it was
just a big mess)....

Using gluster for ovirt or xcp
Hello,
I would like to use glusterfs 3.3 in the following environments:
- ovirt
- xcp
- libvirt
- archipel
I obviously need live migration.
Is gluster supported on these platform?
Is there a plugin?
Is there a simple solution? (perhaps mounting is enough?)
Thanks,
Mario

Tcltk changes in R 1.8.0
I have committed a set of changes to the tcltk package for R-1.8.0.
The most important changes are
1) Support for Tcl arrays, which should come in handy for people
playing with things like the tkTable extension. Basically these
work like tclVar objects but can be subscripted (notice that these
beasts are associative - like a Perl hash - rather than objects of
set dimensions). Basic

Problem with shadows and the new NVIDIA drivers
Hi all,
I've been trying out the new NVIDIA drivers and everything seems to be working
great except that shadows are rendered incorrectly - as solid black (or what
ever the shadow colour happens to be) without the gradient effect. Setting
the opacity level of the shadows makes no difference.
This occurs with Beryl too, but I don't think it's actually a bug in either
program but

Labeling charts within a loop
Hi All:
This may turn out to be very simply, but I can't seem to add the name of
the school to a chart. The loop I created is below that subsets a
dataframe and creates a chart for each school based on certain
variables. As it stands now, they title includes the school's ID number.
Instead, I want to replace this with the school's actual name, which is
stored in a variable called

Problem installing R-devel data 4 March 2016.
I am trying to install the latest development version of R so as to be
able to perform a package check according the rules specified for CRAN.
I performed the following steps:
(1) Downloaded R-devel.tar.gz, dated 04-Mar-2016 03:21, from CRAN
(2) Upacked.
(3) Created directory "BldDir" next to the directory "R-devel".
(4) Changed directories to BldDir.
