Node or site.pp for global variables without dynamic lookup
Hi all,
I am working on rewriting my entire puppet environment and try to
''fix'' ''Dynamic lookup'' as it will be deprecated in some time, but even
after reading quite some docs and on the forum, it''s not really clear
to me.
What I have read so far, is that each variable must be fully-qualified
or parameterized in a class.

number of ticks in a persp() plot
Hi, I am trying to specify four ticks (at 0,1,2,3 for the y axis) in a persp
plot but the defaults overrule my specification and I obtain seven of them.
Is it possible to gain full control over them in such a plot? Here is my
code:
matlines=matrix(c(1:7,3:9,3:9,2:8),nrow=7,ncol=4)

Charset issue
I was playing a bit with Mongrel to test it out before using it in
production, but I have an issue with Latin accented letters being all
messed up.
I''ve included the right content-type in the HTML and both Lighty
+Fastcgi and Webrick have no problem with them.
Any tips?
Thanks,

Mysql 5.6, Centos 7 and errno: 24 - Too many open files
Hi,
may be somewon has a working solution and information on that:
I installed the most recent mysql community on a server and do get a lot
of "errno: 24 - Too many open files".
There are suggestions to increase the open_files_limit, change/add that
to /etc/security/limits.conf and modify the systemd script by hand.
Depending on how you start mysql (restart, or at systemboot time

Yes the name is but now you are working with Admin rights.
Never ever do that. Please dont, use the UAC.
It's so easy to get infected if you work as admin so dont..

Read in date fomat while colClasses="character"
...date column is read by default as
numeric. So I used dateTimeAs= "isodatetime". This enables reading in
the date format. However in the earlier column (say col=1) I have data
which however starts from row 10. So to read data from column one I use
colClasses="character". But this overrules the isodatetime.
Now is there someway I can read in date format while keeping
colClasses="character"
Thanks for your help

PXElinux and tftp path prefix
I want to chain multiple servers with pxelinux initiated from a ris server.
(Correct me if i'm wrong)
The Ris server sends a tftp-path-prefix location where the pxelinux.cfg is searched.
On the ris server I have entries like:
label server2
kernel 192.168.1.2::pxelinux.0
This fetches the pxelinux from server2 but the pxeconfig.cfg from server1 is used.
Can I overrule this with an

Resetting Day/Night setting
I'm not sure if this is part of Asterisk or FreePBX so I apologize if
this is the wrong list to ask my question.
As part of my companies call routes, I have a Time Condition for our
tech support queue. I would like to add a Day/Night Control so the Time
Condition can be overruled. However, I'm afraid someone will forget to
turn it off again. What is the best way of resetting this control

Two problems: -u together with -c and and a symlink problem
Hi,
I have two problems with rsync
1st) if I give both commandline options -u and -c
it looks as if a file which is more recent but different
on the destination is not updated, i.e. -u overrules -c
Is that true?
2nd) There is a symlink A on <SourceDir> which refers to a directory
On the other hand, A is the name of a subdirectory of <DestDir>
Now doing
rsync -auHz --delete --exclude=/A <SourceDir>/ <DestDir>/
does remove A on <DestDir...

yum priorities and obsoleting...
Hey,
I ran into a yum conflict regarding an repoforge extra package obsoleting a base package.
The thing is that I set a lower priority to repoforge extra...
Any idea how come I ran into this issue...?
The question is more about the yum priorities than repoforge.

Hi,
I took a stab at editing the wiki ... the changes disappeared? I guess I was
overruled.
The wiki (http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA) states

exist, it's created (unless -n is used). If message couldn't be saved to the
mailbox for any reason, it's delivered to INBOX instead.

I agree that a user annotation should override PGO data. This is why I
initially proposed that builtin_expect() would extend on '[un]predictable'...

[LLVMdev] The Trouble with Triples
Hi,
In http://reviews.llvm.org/D10969, Eric asked me to explain the wider context of the TargetTuple object that was replacing Triple on llvmdev so here it is.
Before I start, I'm sure I don't know the full extent of GNU triple ambiguity and lack of canonicity. Additional examples are welcome.
The Problem
As you know, LLVM uses a GNU Triple is as a target description that can be relied

Extending StoreInst/LoadInst
Hi,
I am trying to figure out the best way to add some extra metadata to the store and load llvm-ir instructions:
The metadata content is a 'Value*' expression representing a side channel, containing dependency information that is used to help the Scoped Alias Analysis.
Optimizations that don't know about this side channel can safely drop it, where the only effect would be on the
