Greetings, first remarks about trying to do customizable drop-shadows
...ps at the rounded corners. If I have the shadow-textures overlap a bit inwards it might look funny if the windows opacity changes to transparent. Right now the only solution for this is to fill the inner part of the drop-shadow with a rectangle having the start-color. But this solution causes heavy overdraw. While my midrange GeForce might deal with this happily I don't know how e.g. integrated graphic-chips from intel on shared memory can deal with the bandwidth issues that might arise from such an approach. What's your opinion on this? BTW, did I make myself clear enough or should I gimp up...

Error when using plot in diag.panel argument of pairs
...able to produce with boxplots on the diagonal with a density estimation.Additional question: I bet there is an opportunity to include both the boxplot and the kernel density estimation on each field of the diagonal (as I saw before in a published paper), but I just could not figure out how to "overdraw". Maybe you could give me a slight idea (reference would be fine, too) on how to achieve this. I would be highly thankful!Kind regards and many thanks in advance,-Patrick Grossman -- Patrick Großmann - HiWi zur Netzwerkdokumentation Network Operation Center    NOC Hochschulrechenzentrum    HRZ...

[lattice] how to overlay a geographical map on a levelplot?
r-help lattice adepts: I have a question which is somewhat geospatial, so I posted to r-sig-geo rather than here: https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-sig-geo/2012-November/016757.html > summary: How to overlay a geographical map on each panel in a lattice > (or Trellis), e.g., of levelplot's? [RFC PATCH 0/8] nv50: expose global performance counters
Hello there, This series exposes NVIDIA's global performance counters for Tesla through the Gallium's HUD and the GL_AMD_performance_monitor extension. This adds support for 24 hardware events which have been reverse engineered with PerfKit (Windows) and CUPTI (Linux). These hardware events will allow developers to profile OpenGL applications. To reduce latency and to improve accuracy,
