Dual nw card problem again
...", a CentOS 4 www server that has been
working perfectly well for years.
Now I added a second nw card (eth1), automatically using kudzu. I cannot
get this dual nw setup to work. The first nw card (eth0) stopped at once
working properly, when I added the second card. Hw failure is probably
outruled - the connection via eth0 works normally again if I remove the
eth1 card and its settings (on reboot with kudzu).
There are several symptoms with the dual nw card setup, and I cannot
really get to diagnosis.
1) if you ping lasso2 (the problem machine) with the eth0 ip, the ping
requests come i...

After USB boot problems on Gigabyte GA-M55Plus-S3G
As I said before, booting is bigger than one bootloader.
I am replying to what I think was asked. I might have misunderstood
the questions.
Whichever the case, this email is less about Syslinux itself. If this
is considered too far off-topic in the Syslinux Mailing List, please
receive my apologies.

Is this calculation generally valid ? It seems to assume that
the end is aligned to a full cylinder. (The start is not.)
It is clear that S/H must be 63 and H/C must be 255, because we
see the maximum possible values here. (H/C could be 256. But
that is outruled by Wikipedia about MBR.)
Nevertheless, this does not match the end LBA calculated
from start LBA and number of blocks.
Do i miss an essential point here ?

I think the essential point is that the CHS geometry offered on the
preformatted stick seems to be "impossible&...

So, the report should had said, either:

or:

Short answer:
_ unmount the partition;
_ make a backup (just in case) of the entire device using dd;
_ use fdisk (o...

Could you try the following patch? Feel free to only apply the change
to readconfig.c if you want.

zvol wrapped in a vmdk by Virtual Box and double writes?
Hi folks, (Long time no post...)
Only starting to get into this one, so apologies if I''m light on detail,
but...
I have a shiny SSD I''m using to help make some VirtualBox stuff I''m
doing go fast.
I have a 240GB Intel 520 series jobbie. Nice.
I chopped into a few slices - p0 (partition table), p1 128GB, p2 60gb.
As part of my work, I have used it both as a RAW
