Saving Shorewall Settings
...es like Rules, Policy etc.
If my understanding above is correct, is the only thing required to be
save prior to a rebuild and re installation the /etc/shorewall folder?
( Assuming of course that all changes like Allow.xxxxx have been made in
that folder only ).
Thanks

Problems with Firewall start at Boot time
...appears to fix the problem which would indicate that the
problem is related to the network interfaces not being up in time. I am
not sure whether this is the best fix as I believe that rcS.d starts
things very early on in the Boot process which I guess is preferable for
a Firewall?

Can''t get shorewall to start, again
Hey!
No, actually shorewall works very well and starts and so on... Thanks for this!
Problem is that it won''t start on boot it seems. At least it doesn''t
enable forwarding. However, if I do /etc/init.d/shorewall restart it
enables forwarding and the rest... But not if I do
/etc/init.d/shorewall start ;) Seems weird...
System is Debian Sid, Shorewall is prepackaged by Debian...

Problem starting Shorewall using Bridge configuration
...ot;br0 192.168.0.0/24
routeback" to the routestopped file. Is this correct as there doesn''t
appear to be any comments in the file about adding options to this file.
Should this have been added to either the interfaces or hosts file instead?
