Lartc documentation version?
...guys, I''m just lurking and learning. Went to the lartc web page to read the howto. The page says the current version is 1.0.0 but in the pdf, on page 2 it says "Revision: 1.43" - Which is it? Also, the instructions for cvs checkout gives me this: Logging in to :pserver:anon@outpost.ds9a.nl:2401/var/cvsroot CVS password: cvs [login aborted]: connect to outpost.ds9a.nl(213.244.168.210):2401 failed: Connection refused I''m using the password suggested on the page. Thanks Hans

Samba with external SSO
Hi! My goal is to connect Authentik to Samba (running on Ubuntu). What I tried (with no success): - Samba directly to the LDAP outpost (as Authentik can expose it's internal DB like that): this would/will work but Authentik can't use the Samba scheme at the moment. - Samba -> PAM -> sssd -> LDAP outpost: in theory this worked a long time ago (SMBv1?) but as the password is not sent in the clear (as I understand it...

How do I get the cvs?
...ve downloaded the "lartc.ps", version "1.0.0", last updated 2004-03-31 00:11 CET. So, I would assume the CVS is newer. I have tried to download the CVS version of the HOWTO. However, I get this error, using ''cvs'' as password: $ export CVSROOT=:pserver:anon@outpost.ds9a.nl:/var/cvsroot $ cvs login Logging in to :pserver:anon@outpost.ds9a.nl:2401/var/cvsroot CVS password: cvs [login aborted]: connect to outpost.ds9a.nl(213.244.168.210):2401 failed: Connection refused Do I misread the instructions on http://www.lartc.org or is the HOWTO not actively develope...

restrict map-login by geoip?
...my users are in the US so there shouldn't be any logins from other countries. Can I tell dovecot to restrict logins to a CIDR list of US IPs? Can someone point me to docs on how to set this up? I've searched but haven't found how to accomplish this. Thanks, -Terry Terry Barnum digital OutPost http://www.dop.com

I wouldn't rely on the samba ldap schema anyway, it is mainly meant for the old NT4-style PDCs and they rely on SMBv1 and there is a good chance...

Xen Windows Clients - BSOD with Application Firewall Installs
I have set up both Windows XP and Windows 2000 Server clients on Xen under Centos 5.1 and am unable to install an application firewall. I have tried the latest: 1) Agnitum Outpost Commercial Version 2) Comodo Firewall (ver 2 on Windows 2000) 3) Sunbelt Commercial Version With all of these when the firewall starts up it results in a BSOD. With Windows XP and Agnitum I can go back to a previous system restore point, with Windows 2000 and other firewalls on XP the only option...

Hi everybody, Sometime last week outpost.ds9a.nl''s disk filled up and mailman corrupted one of its databases. It took quite some time to fix this, for which I apologize. But we''re back now! Hi everybody - we''re back
...ken *far* too long to get everything together again. At first we were delayed by incredible incompetence over at our vendor, who managed to ship a broken server twice. And then I was very busy, and did not manage to make time for reinstalling all services on the new server. The new server, http://outpost.powerdns.com, is very capable. It is about 20 times faster than the old one (a Pentium 100MHz) and has mirrored disks. Sorry for the downtime and we hope you will continue to enjoy this list. ...ons to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. .Additionally, adaptations could be made for use in extreme-low gravity such as on asteroids. This idea of efficient and reliable an excavator that has usage on differing planetary surfaces and various materials has the goal of enabling exploration and bases from outposts to self-sustaining complexes. The LPE would be able to accommodate the different materials that are encountered on planetary surfaces as the LPE would sense geologic changes and respond to them by using the lowest cutting energy possible.
