IAX Incoming/Outgoing
I'vce got three Asterisk systems here that I'd like to be able to place calls between with IAX. As usual, I've spent several hours playing with it, really getting nowhere. Asterisk is so mentally draining. Each system, pbx1, pbx2, pbx3, should be able to connect to every other. Do I need separate user/peers or can I combine them into a single user=friend for each system? if I place a

DUNDi Confusion
Dear community,
Please help. I've been looking around the internet (and in this great forum)
for help with DUNDi setup between servers (I'm using Elastix) and while I
can get my servers to lookup extensions on each other very well, I have not
been able to successfully make calls between servers. For my test
environment, I have 3 servers setup for now, and these are the steps I've

Realtime+IAX2 and RSA
Anyone had Realtime working with IAX2 and RSA authentication to connect two
PBXs, please? It seems that inkeys/outkey fields are not read at all and
the following warning is logged when dialing:
Jun 2 02:41:36 WARNING[6299] chan_iax2.c: I don't know how to authenticate
******** to XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
Using iax.conf it perfectly works. Maybe a bug in Realtime?
TIA,
Alex

IAX2 - DualServer Problem
Hi,
I have two asterisk servers and I want to make these servers call each
other as they were internal. I have succeeded in one way. Server B can
call Server A without problem, but Server A cannot call Server B.
Here's the iax configuration of servers
Server A:
==================
[ipek]
auth=rsa
context=from-internal
host=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
inkeys=ipek
outkey=odtu

DUNDi in 1.2.7.1
Hi
few weeks ago I read about redundancy (HA) of asterisk boxes using
DNS, DUNDi, so I decided to give it a try.
OS FreeBSD 6.1-RELEASE, asterisk 1.2.7.1
on one peer I get:

[IAX] Everyone is busy/congested at this time (1:0/0/1)
Hi,
I have a problem with IAX accounts...
I set up a few months ago an Asterisk server, with mysql support to load iax
accounts.
Settings seems fine because apparently the system works as expected.
Yesterday I tried to add another iax account in the iax.conf directly. And I
have a problem with this new account (named 444).
I can authenticate from 444 to the server, and I can receive calls from

Ast.1.0.9 (only) strange problem with IAX and DDNS
Asterisk 1.0.9: IAX2 registration timeout!
---
I have 2 locations with ADSL lines, both with dynamic IP (+ dynamic
DNS).
On location 1 => Asterisk 1.0.RC2 / Slackware 10
On location 2 => Asterisk 1.0.9 / Slackware 10
They are on private network and connected via IAX2 through
NAT(win2000server), and registering to DDNS name of each other.
I know that Asterisk is not very smart on handling

Requested contexts didn't get merged
Hello,
I have two asterisk servers and I would like to merge their dialplans. I
thought DUNDi would be a natural choice.
I created the following configuration on the first server:
iax.conf
Code:
[dundi]
type=user
dbsecret=dundi/secret
context=dundi-local
dundi.conf
[general]
ttl=4
autokill=yes
cachetime=30
entityid=00:06:5B:8E:B0:08
secretpath=dundi
bindaddr=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
port=4520

2 Asterisk boxes via IAX : always calling as IAX guest
If a call from one Asterisk box to another comes in, it always goes to
the default context because it is treated as IAX guest. I don't
understand why ?!
Asterisk box 1 iax.conf :
[BOX2]
type=user
auth=rsa
inkeys=public_key_box2
context=from-BOX2
[BOX2]
type=peer
host=dynamic
auth=rsa
outkey=private_key_box1
Asterisk box 2 iax.conf :
register => BOX2:BOX2 at IP_BOX1
[BOX1]
type=user

RSA interasterisk IAX problems ?
Hi,
I'd like to setup oneway connection - so asteriskB can place calls on
asteriskA and be safely authenticated with rsa keys. I just don't get any
response on asteriskA.
I've generated pair of keys: name.key, name.pub and put them on both servers
- is it right to only have name.key on asteriskA and name.pub on
asteriskB ?
I get everybody is busy ... on asteriskB, and none

DUNDi with two servers
Hi,
I'm having difficulties with using DUNDi between two servers. If it were
three I think I could control looping by limiting TTL, but with two I'm not
sure how to prevent a loop causing bad things to happen. I've tried ttl=1
but things still blow up.
The DUNDi configurations are pretty simple and work just fine in both
directions as long as only one of them is using the switch

iax2 trunk registration with auth rsa
hi all,
I am trunking via iax2 2 asterisk serverses
if both of them have static ip addresses, I can connect them using no
password, password or auth rsa with a pair of keys.
If one of them has dynamic ip address and need to register on the other
server, I can connect them with no password, but I am not able to do that
using keys.
The question is: which is the right register syntax to use when
